# The Star Puzzle
![[Pasted image 20230504112358.png]]
## Solving It
In simple terms, you only have to make five different rhombus shape, or even more generally, find matching pairs that align to create half of a spoke. Once you can find the matching pairs for each, so long as you can align them properly in the disk outline, you can solve it. Thanks Rotational Symmetry!!
The center / spoke lengths need to be identical for all of the arms of the star, so if you have two that don't match in length, maybe make a third spoke and see which one it matches, if either.
Of note, the outer parts of the puzzle appear to be triangles from a top-down view, while the center pieces appear to be either quadrilaterals or pentagons. This isn't as reliable though snice you're not going to know the orientation of them all, beyond that they have to lay flat on a table.
