It was located near the crossing of US-694 and MN-100, and we'd often drive past the area on the way to my early childhood day care, Pre-school, and then later tennis drills. Supposedly the mall's initial decline occurred in 2005 when Radio Disney (a local AM radio station) hosted a concert with the band B5, and fans rushed the stage. Of course, it didn't help that there was an uptick in violent crime in the area between 2005 and 2009 ## Stores I Frequented as a Kid - The Barnes and Noble was my primary bookstore - The Gamestop in the Mall wasn't my primary Gamestop, but it is where I bought some of my games ([[Sonic Advance 2]], for example) - The Lenscrafters there (which was across from the Barnes and Noble) was where I got my first pair of glasses when I was in second grade. ## Relevant Links - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shingle_Creek_Crossing - https://thedisneyjournal.wordpress.com/2017/05/27/brookdale-center-the-rise-the-fall-and-the-future/ - This article also discusses the movie theater in the area, a place my mother referred to as the "cheap-y theater". We would go there and watch movies for like less than 5 bucks. ### Some Photos of the Mall Before the space was demolished, some folks went in and took some picutres. I remember that plastic tree area as a play area for kids. The RadioShack was also very close to the game stop, and is still the image of what I think of when someone says "a RadioShack in a mall". https://www.flickr.com/photos/snaplocally/sets/72157623627865542
