#index #personal #cataloging A list of video game music that I think people should listen to (because they're ones I like :] ), hence *required listening*[^1] . In the past I've put them in a ranking of some kind, but I realize now that to be on this list in the first place is important enough, and that I can craft an arbitrary top 10 as needed. I am still formulating meaningful ways I can generate a "hierarchy" of sorts with respect to my *ALL TIME FAVORITES* versus songs that I just really enjoy, if that makes sense. Compare this list to the more holistic [[Favorite Game Soundtracks]] [^1]: I am by no means an authority on the quality of video game music, I just really like using sarcasm. If I were to develop an ACTUALLY "Required Listening" page, I would 100% change the name of this page to something that make it clear that things on this page are subjective. I expect some of these choices to be fairly obvious, while others might be a bit more obscure. Either way though, this document is gonna be LONG AND COMPREHENSIVE. BE READY.
