# TLDR
I'm tired of carrying 6 different notebooks around because I have stuff in there I need to reference but haven't had time to digitise them.
Something needs to change.
p.s. My back hurts.
# *Content*
In a [[Common Place book]] the common overlap between what we consume should be apparent.
Ideally, showing us new ideas that reveal themselves between our own ideas.

This process however requires active effort to distil ideas down and also requires the owner to be aware of **All** existing content in all of their various notebooks.
> Since the [[International Day Corporation|IDC]] found that the 26% average [[Knowledge Worker|Knowledge Worker's]] day is spent “consolidating information spread across a variety of systems” of which the success rate is only 56%. (according to [The Knowledge Quotient: Unlocking the Hidden Value of Information Using Search and Content Analytics](https://pages.coveo.com/rs/coveo/images/IDC-Coveo-white-paper-248821.pdf) )

> In a 5-day work week, you basically spend Monday and part of Tuesday just finding shit of which you fail almost half the time.

The Physical Restrictions of Notebooks only add to the issues in creating these connections.
My Current Process with these common place books is to review my notes and then write their content in a more flexible digital system later ([[Second Brain]]).
This seems to have bound be to the same restrictions I was originally trying to avoid.
It may be that I need a **smaller review period**, or switch to **using Digital Notes completely** missing out on the [[Tactile Information Association]] that engages my mind in a notebook away from the shine and distraction Phones give.
Using a Tablet to write notes Similar to the [[RE:Markable 2]] could work, provided there was handwriting recognition I could sync with other devices or Sync the notes as an image within my obsidian.
This will still bind me to the lower [[Limits of Human of Bandwidth]] and loosing out on the [[Benefits of Increased Typing Speeds]]
- [ ] #ToDo Output the Table and include it in the upcoming notes as a quotable section [created:: 2024-01-22]

I'll have to review this more later
