Here's a LinkedIn post I did the other day that presented serious value and I felt was too good to let fade away, I've published it as-is on my blog at this stage, but may revisit it and do a video on it in the future. --- # Inbox Zero One concept that has recently caught my attention is 'inbox-zero' 📭. I've encountered diverse opinions on this (the best way to truly comprehend it!), and I've concluded that it's always worth striving 🏃‍♂️ for that kind of utopian inbox paradise 🌈 that seems just a stone's throw away. I've been practicing something similar for a long time now. When I see people with a daunting 300,000 emails 📧 in their inbox, I can't help but wonder how they manage, especially when my alarm bells 🚨 start ringing at a count above 100, and I declare email bankruptcy at 200😵‍💫! Inbox zero 🎯 is essentially a system of subfolders in your inbox, designed to be quickly and easily processed. The folders are: 📑Information: Emails you were CC'd on or ones that don't require direct action. ✔️Actioned: Items that required your action, and you've done your part - be that replying to the email or performing the task. By following this system, you can quickly file emails into searchable and indexed folders, and declutter your main inbox 🧹. Your inbox then transforms into a tidy to-do list, housing unread documents, newsletters etc. The result? More focus on what truly matters. It's one of those small steps that drastically reduced my daily work stress and feelings of overwhelm 😓. ## Getting Started --- So, how to start this [#ProductivityHack](https://www.linkedin.com/feed/hashtag/?keywords=productivityhack&highlightedUpdateUrns=urn%3Ali%3Aactivity%3A7084341139318730753)? It's simple! 1️⃣ Create 3 folders: - Actioned - Information - Archive 2️⃣ Move emails older than 1 month into the archive. This might take a while, depending on your email volume. 3️⃣ Process remaining emails into the Actioned and Archive folders. Aim for that Inbox-Zero! 4️⃣ Process emails as you read them. You can level up your efficiency with Outlook hotkeys (Ctrl+Shift+V) 🎮. There you have it! You've taken a significant leap towards improved [#MentalHealth](https://www.linkedin.com/feed/hashtag/?keywords=mentalhealth&highlightedUpdateUrns=urn%3Ali%3Aactivity%3A7084341139318730753) and [#Productivity](https://www.linkedin.com/feed/hashtag/?keywords=productivity&highlightedUpdateUrns=urn%3Ali%3Aactivity%3A7084341139318730753) 💪. Keep processing emails as they arrive, with a roundup at the beginning or end of each week, and relish in your new clutter-free lifestyle 🧘‍♀️.
