# Drawing Art Illustration ## Drawing as Thinking The article by Holly Cummins down below brings up the [Picture Superiority Effect](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Picture_superiority_effect), which says that images are more likely to be remembered than words (this mirrors ARTICLE - How to write good prompts - Andy Matuschak). This puts an interesting spin on Sketchnoting. Using images for thinking is more important for the recipient than the person taking the note, which is different than the way I thought about it. While Drawing slows me down, I didn't find drawing for 🧠 Notetaking to be that useful for recall or comprehension. ## Learning to draw A nice article by Holly Cummins on learning to draw as a developer, and how to use the skills for communicating ideas. - [How to draw when you can’t draw, part i: a growth mindset story - Holly Cummins](https://hollycummins.com/how-to-draw-part-i/) ## Links An app to reference the planes of the head: - [Head Model Studio on the App Store](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/head-model-studio/id1527028690)
