*Cishi pusa lüexiu yu'e niansong fa*
慈氏菩薩略修愈誐念誦法
*Method for Cultivating in Brief Yoga Recitation for the Bodhisattva Maitreya*
Translated by Śubhākarasiṃha (Shanwuwei 善無畏; 637–735).
This text, divided into ten chapters, is the only ritual manual for Maitreya in the Chinese canon. Although the translation is attributed to Śubhākarasiṃha, some of the transliteration characters would seem to be peculiar to this text, and it is preserved only in Japan, having been brought there by Ennin 圓仁 (794–864) in 847. The Taishō edition is based on a printed edition from the Kyōhō 享保 era (1716–36) and four manuscripts. The mantras are accompanied by their Siddham equivalents.
