*Jingang kongbu jihui fangguang yigui Guanzizai pusa Sanshizuisheng xin mingwang jing* 金剛恐怖集會方廣儀軌觀自在菩薩三世最勝心明王經 *Sūtra of Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva’s Heart Vidyārāja, Trailokyavijaya, in the Extensive Ritual Protocols of the Assembly of Adamantine Fear* Translated by Amoghavajra (Bukong 不空; 705–774). The meaning of the title is not entirely clear, but it suggests that this text may have formed part of a larger text, and there is a reference to mantras “taught in a previous chapter” (20.12b15: 前品所說). This sūtra, which describes sundry rites, is taught almost entirely by Avalokiteśvara with the permission of the Buddha. Trailokyavijaya is referred to as Avalokiteśvara’s “own heart’s king of Vidyārājas” (20.9a26: 自心明王之王) and “king of Vidyārājas” (20.15c3: 明王之王), and mantras [[1033-02]] – [[1033-15]] are described as the “great heart-mantras of Trailovijaya, etc.” (20.9c9: 三世勝等大心眞言), while the mudrās to which the largely similar mantras [[1033-56 <15a> | 1033-56]] – [[1033-70 <15c> | 1033-70]] correspond are said to have been “born from parts \[of the body] of Trailokyavijaya, king of Vidyārājas” (20.15c3: 三世勝明王之王。自支分生).
