This is a linked archive of my work in history, much of which has appeared in unlinked forms in my writing (monographs, textbooks, blogs, Substack). The difference in this case is that I'm deliberately trying to create links so readers can see the connections between ideas. Often this means that when I add a page, I have to edit and update and add the pages to which it links. The result may seem a bit random as the vault gradually builds, but I think the result will be worthwhile. You're probably here because you are a contributor to my Substack which is also called *MakingHistory*. I'm going to continue posting new content on Substack, but I'm not that happy with the archival experience on that platform, so my older stuff (and my new stuff as it ages) will be here.
