Comment 1: In my experiance drill bits dont leave a smooth finish and the size can be out by a few thou Comment 2: 99% or more of drills have enough runout to MORE than compensate for the 0.001" extra. So 11/64 might give you too big of a hole abd WILL give you too big of one if you're using a hand drill. For reference, 0.001" is the average size of a cell(skin cell, plant cell, liver cell, ect....) if you're lapping a hole that small, then you might as well ream it 1st. Even then, using drills is going to leave you with run out if you're trying to hold a tolerance of 0.001", machinists struggle to do that consistently and repeatably....
