# Software ## KatsuTools KatsuTools is our Windows companion app, allowing for firmware updates and the upload of [[Customization]] GIFs and images. To begin, flip the Update Switch (located on the right side, under the wrist rest) to "UPDATE" and plug in your Sando. Click the refresh button in the top left to ensure connection to KatsuTools. ![[update switch.png]] *Pictured: Update Switch in the "PLAY" position* **Usage:** - Firmware Upgrade: 1. Click into the Firmware tab. 2. Drag and drop the firmware file into KatsuTools, wait for confirmation in the Activity Log. 3. Click "Upload Firmware" to reflash the Sando with the new firmware, wait for confirmation of completion in the Activity Log. - Custom GIF: 1. Click into the Animation tab. 2. Your GIF must be submitted as ten `.png` files named alphanumerically in your desired order (160x80 pixel). 3. Drag and drop these files into KatsuTools, wait for confirmation of completion in the Activity Log. - Custom Image: 1. Click into the Image tab. 2. Your image must be submitted as one `.png` file (160x80 pixel). 3.
