# Noosphere [Noosphere](https://subconscious.substack.com/p/noosphere-a-protocol-for-thought) is a "protocol for thought" built by [[Gordon Brander]] and [[Chris Joel]], built on IPLD, UCAN, and IPFS. They are building it in order to power their own product [[Subconscious]], but it's also an open protocol that can be adopted by any TFT. - [x] Watched [WWW over IPFS](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=809FI-AlmLM) by [[Chris Joel]] at IPFS Thing ## Thoughts Use v1 CIDs: ``` const v1 = CID.parse('bagaaierasords4njcts6vs7qvdjfcvgnume4hqohf65zsfguprqphs3icwea') v1.toString() //> 'bagaaierasords4njcts6vs7qvdjfcvgnume4hqohf65zsfguprqphs3icwea' ``` V1 CIDs always start with `ba...` and V0 CIDs start with `Q...`. @csb/john-3-16 For God so loved the world.. I think what it means by God loving the world. ## Noosphere Explainer Noosphere Explainer article in the style of [[Bartosz Ciechanowski]]. - Notes are the foundation - Backlinks to other people's notes - How? - Need ## Ideas - Noosphere in a classroom - shared notes - reference each others work - [[LLMs for text will be inhibited by the same limitations of human collaboration on written works]] - Reference systems should be unique to the work (Wikipedia should be referenced differently than the Bible, for example) - Save pages to your local gateway / sphere while you reference, enabling offline access
