# Snapshot () Ibn Hajar al-Haythami (909 –974 AH, 65 years) was an influential Egyptian scholar and jurist, known for his contributions to Islamic jurisprudence, hadith studies, and theology. He was born in the village of Abu Haytham, Egypt, and received his education at Al-Azhar University. Ibn Hajar authored numerous works, including commentaries on hadith collections, Islamic jurisprudence, and the lives of prominent Islamic figures. He was known for his strong stance against innovation (bid'ah) in Islam, writing extensively on the dangers of heretical practices. He passed away in Mecca.
