She does have three appearances based on her chosen aspect. Light, dark or neutral. **Her true name is**: Belacardaza (BELL-uh-car-DAH-zah). This is almost never used, except maybe by [[Voldeforms (Divines)/Millidyth|Millidyth]]. --- The Matron is an enigmatic figure, even among the divine children. They view her as their mother, but she is a part of the Isys’ir, not an entirely separate entity. However, she is often off doing her own thing. Embodying various aspects of good or evil. None of the children quite know what she’s up to. Her confidant, [[Millidyth]], is also something of a mystery amidst the [[High Seat]]. Frequently doing tasks for the Matron and refusing to answer questions outside her presence. --- %%*Possible roles: I think I may use the Maton and Millidyth as the force behind [[Eriti]]’s plan. Acting as a sort of manifestation of the Isys’ir guiding will. I think that would make Eriti’s success more believable, but it also takes away from Eriti’s agency. Though the loss of agency is a common theme so far, so it makes sense in the greater narrative.* *Also, I think she’s taken issue with [[Rowan Warwick|Rowan]]’s apotheosis. Which somehow led her to helping the [[Noumorai]] to bork the [[Fifth Realm]], leading to the Imperium Fantasy setting.*%% I should also note that the Matron is kind of fucking terrifying. She can appear kindly and nurturing to the isyrric children, but she can also be the scary parent when she needs to be. This extends to how she deals with any mortals that may encounter her. Depending on how she chooses to interact with them causes inconsistencies in what people believe about her (even amongst those who met her at the same moment). Unlike the Isys’ir himself, who doesn’t communicate as clearly, the Matron is usually very direct. She doesn’t mince words or beat around the bush.
