Early experiments in "powered exoskeletal rigs" (or simply "rigs"), have found them to be minimally useful for construction and heavy lifting in industrial and commercial settings. As the technology matured, they became used regularly for all manners of industrial heavy lifting. While not completely replacing vehicular equipment, they allowed for loads to be moved over uneven terrain and smaller spaces. Despite millennia of being allies with the Lacir, humanity has never fully trusted them. The concept of making a combat suit that would put humans on equal footing with the Lacir was proposed. After several trials, JPEX Armacorp (see: [[Corporations]]) won the contract to build them. Currently, these suits have never been used in combat. They have been deployed to intimidate colonial uprisings, and were highly effective. [[TASCOM]] also uses them as hardened extra-vehicular activity suits, in dangerous environments. Many nations have their own small force of power armor trained soldiers, but only TASCOM maintains an active duty regiment of marines who wear this equipment. One of the advantages that TASCOM marines have is their [[Neural Interconnect|Neural Interconnects]]. This allows for faster response times while wearing their armor. Their suits are also designed for operation on the ground and untethered in zero-g. *Note: Unknown to those outside the [[Isylorian Order]], the [[Inquisition]] and the Scildia wear a form of power armor. It is unknown who manufactures it for them.* TASCOM Marine ![[Power Armor.jpeg]]
