## The Downfall Of Humankind
Humanity was to be humbled by the vastness of space. As a species, we were caged by the limits of our nascent science.
The [[Isys’ir]] was to give us the instrument of our ascension. He sent to us the [[Falinjorin|True Humans]], and delivered us from stagnation.
This would be our downfall. The divine humans were robbed of their technology and their divinity, as humanity had gained carnal knowledge of their pure forms.
We became a mongrel hybrid of divine light and evolved animals. In our hubris and audacity, we sought to seek our our destiny outside of the divine will.
We would be given a series of trials to repent for our sins.
---
## The First Trial
Humanity's hubris expanded throughout the galaxy. As we reached for the core, we encountered the [[Yill Maingess|Regents]] of the Isys'ir's will, the [[Yill Maingess|Yi'maness]].
It was decreed that we go no further, the core of the galaxy was not for humankind. All that was required of us was to return to the outer arms, to cease our advance and be at peace.
Humanity would not accept this decree and would make war with the Regents. After an age, the Isys'ir allowed the Regents to exit the war.
---
## The Second Trial
The Isys'ir set upon humanity with the second trial. He began to dim the stars.
Starting from the inner galaxy, which was not meant for us, the wave of [[Stellar Decay]] progressed steadily. Eventually the home world was threatened.
The [[Methuselan|Methuselans]] offered themselves as a sacrifice in exchange for the end of the decay. Their willingness to exchange their immortality impressed upon the Isys'ir and we were given a reprieve.
---
## The Third Trial
Humanity again descended into hedonism and cast out the Isys'ir grace. Thus, we received another judgement.
A [[plague]] swept through humanity. It took the oldest and wisest of us and cursing the youth with infertility.
[[Hessa Ideras]] was given the gift of healing by [[Ezkel|Ezkelion]] and eased much suffering within her lifetime. Her work carried on for centuries, but humanity refused to acknowledge the divine and was struck one final blow by the will of the Isys'ir.
The [[Daemon|demons]] descended upon humanity, leading to our near extinction.
It is written that the [[Lacir]] led us to the promised land by the grace of the Isys’ir.
---
## The Modern Era
Those who survived the plague and the demons, were chosen by the Isys'ir to rebuild humanity in a more humble age.
We have lost our way yet again. It would be that humanity is on a cyclical path of trials and redemption. As our hubris builds to a crescendo yet again, another trial may soon be faced by our people.
New demons walk among us. The [[Amerdus]] and the [[Hazraadim]] stalk the dark corners of society and crawl through the ruins of the [[Flux Event|Flux Events]].
The church is all that stands between these evils and oblivion.
---
## Founding Of The Church
[[Hessa Ideras]] was a physician during the onset of the [[Plague|plague]]. She was gifted divine power to heal the sick by [[Ezkel|Ezkelion]] the [[Ezkel|Gahalijan]], emissary of the Isys'ir.
Later in life, her disciples spread the divine truth and continued to ease the suffering of the afflicted.
As humanity rebuilt itself after the [[Great Confluence]], her ideals were carried forward.
In the 3rd century, the church was officially reformed and has been a growing power throughout the galaxy.
