# Tag glossary We use tags mostly to indicate the status of a note: - #seedling - All new notes get this tag. If you want to contribute, notes with this tag are usually a great place to start! Might need a template applied to it or if it already has it, no placeholders have been filled out. - #incubator - Some preliminary work was done, it has a template with placeholders but it was only partially filled out. These notes still have incomplete information and need their placeholders filled out! - #evergreen - Notes that have been updated and no longer have placeholders in them. Usually these notes need corrections, updates or additions to existing knowledge. Before adding new content to these notes, please make sure you have read [[CONTRIBUTING|how to contribute]]. We also have a #placeholder tag we use to signal the type of information that is missing on a note. Most of them are self-explanatory: - #placeholder/title - #placeholder/author - Information about the author is missing (can include their name, Discord handle, GitHub username, GitHub sponsors page or buy me a coffee links) - #placeholder/description - #placeholder/link - #placeholder/screenshot - #placeholder/tool - Similar to the author tag, any information about a tool Other than that, we use the `#MOC` tag for [[Maps of Content (MOC)]]. %% Hub footer: Please don't edit anything below this line %% # This note in GitHub <span class="git-footer">[Edit In GitHub](https://github.dev/obsidian-community/obsidian-hub/blob/main/00%20-%20Contribute%20to%20the%20Obsidian%20Hub/Tag%20glossary.md "git-hub-edit-note") | [Copy this note](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/obsidian-community/obsidian-hub/main/00%20-%20Contribute%20to%20the%20Obsidian%20Hub/Tag%20glossary.md "git-hub-copy-note") | [Download this vault](https://github.com/obsidian-community/obsidian-hub/archive/refs/heads/main.zip "git-hub-download-vault") </span>
