Unlike common necromancers, they see undeath as **statecraft**—a method to build eternal empires and outlast mortal kings. --- ## Origins Millennia ago, seven arch-mages of the Mortal Empire bound their souls to the **Black Veins**, ley lines corrupted by the Demon Lords. Their pact made them deathless and granted the title **Necrolords**.
