###### Who is Æmen Ededéen? Æmen Ededéen is a player of [[The Glass Dream Game]].  The name itself comes from a dream, an insight received sitting quietly inside the dream.  It is a name in reverse.  A name without a first letter or last.  No alpha, no omega. Letters plucked from an infinite string of letters.  Æmen is a name resulting from the marriage of opposing forces, the sacred and profane. Æmen, being a player of games, a dreamer in a dream world, operates the game, the dream, the strategy, tactics, intuitions, and moves that come with it.   [Joshua Hagler](https://www.joshuahagler.com) is a husband and a dad who lives in a village in New Mexico. He is utterly ordinary and values his ordinariness.  He’s become so ordinary that he no longer needs to explain himself.  He lives within the visible and tactile world of his immediate surroundings.  He values privacy and prefers the tangible things to the abstract.  His tolerance for the social world, for popular culture and so on, has too far diminished for his usual spasmodic complexes to benefit his or anyone’s health. Æmen, on the other hand, is never bothered, for what is all of this if not a game?  Æmen has other ideas, knows just how to play [[The Glass Dream Game]], and how to invent it, how to live it, and, ultimately, extend it beyond the life of one ordinary little artist.  He is doing it right now.   Hagler was a painter who worked for twenty years until the work was finally completed.  Now he can stay home. Æmen Ededéen is every god and demon whose work in the hidden world is never done.  What is the difference between destruction and creation? Æmen knows what Hagler was never able to accept: there isn’t any.
