# Lamy 2000 used ![[Lamy 2000 used.png]] Fine, AUD 120, eBay, Feb 2012. 138mm capped; 151mm posted. I'm not sure why I bought another 2000, and a used one from eBay, except that I guess I was trying to save money. Like my other 2000 (also fine), this one is essentially flawless. It's wonderfully balanced for my hand, starts easily every time, writes reasonably well on even the most insipid paper, and has that magnificent design. Having become accustomed in the years since I bought it to Asian-style fine and even extra-fine nibs, the Lamy fine seems exceedingly fat to me. But it is consistent with typical European fine nibs. As such, I really want to find a 200 XF to see if I can get the perfection of Lamy with the fine line to which I'm more accustomed these days. Still, the 2000 remains an essentially perfect pen. Grade: A- (cuz it's just not fine enough for me)
