- [Endless](https://www.madebyendless.com/) makes medium Moleskine-style notebooks with 68gsm Tomoe River paper.

- Guildhall Notebooks have the exceptional ability to [fold right back on themselves](http://blackcover.net/?p=36), making them a serious contender for harsh conditions (the were once a favorite of the US Geologic Survey). However, they seem to have gone extinct. They might turn up on eBay or some such. I have one, which I've fortunately not yet used….

- [Nanami Paper](https://www.nanamipaper.com/products/cafe-note-b6-slim-grid.html) uses Tomoe River paper for its minimalist yet elegant and sturdy notebooks.

- [Whitebook](http://whitebook.me/) is a Swiss company selling handmade leather-covered elastic bound agendas, organizers, and notebooks. [X47](http://www.x47.com/en/home/) makes similar products, but with metal holders for the “inlays” (the smaller, elemental notebooks. Whitebook and X47 products are both quite pricey. [X17](http://www.x17.de/en/home/) is an economical version of the X47 that uses elastic binding for multiple, smaller, replaceable books.
- [Whitelines](http://whitelines.se/products/) notebooks have a unique feature: the pages are gray and the lines (or grid, or dots) are white. They make stapled, hardbound, and wirebound books in various sizes.
