## Targeting
All d20 rolls that a player can make can target an NPC. If a d20 roll has a target, then that roll will be compared against the target's level in order to determine success or failure.
If a roll does not have a target, it will be compared against the [[Global Difficulty#Global Difficulty|Global Difficulty]] to determine success or failure.
## Drag/Drop from Chat
All rolls support dragging/dropping from chat onto a target in order to apply that roll to the drag target. This is useful if a player makes an attack roll but forgets to target a creature. You can drag the attack roll result from chat and drop it onto the NPC target, and the roll will be evaluated against the target's level.
## Defense Prompts
When a character is attacked by an NPC, the system will send a defense prompt to the owner of the character (and notify them with a system chime sound). The defense prompt will ask the player to make a defense roll, and will allow them to enter any effort they want to apply, or to add assets or ease/hinder the defense roll. Upon clicking "Roll", a defense roll will be made for the character, and the results announced in chat.
