Death Markers are map indicators styled as blood stains that can be automatically applied to a map whenever characters are reduced to 0 HP.
### Enabling Death Markers
In the campaign settings window, under the Combat header there are three settings labeled with "Death Markers." These three settings control when death marker icons are added to maps.

### Creature Types
The death marker icons can be configured per creature type, but since the Cypher System does not have a definitive list of creature types that it supports, the Fantasy Grounds implementation uses the creature types from Dungeons and Dragons 5e. Future updates will make this list configurable on a per campaign basis.
To configure what death marker set is assigned to what creature types, click the **Death Markers** button on the bottom section of the campaign options window.

The above window allows the GM to configure which creature types are assigned what death marker groups.
Lastly, [[NPCs]] have a "Type" field where you can enter a creature type. That field must match an entry in the list (ignoring casing) to apply a custom set, otherwise the default marker set is used.
