## Types
Every item can have a type. The possible types are:
- [[Items#Weapons|Weapon]]
- [[Items#Armor|Armor]]
- [[Items#Cypher|Cypher]]
- [[Items#Artifact|Artifact]]
- [[Items#Oddity|Oddity]]
Each type has a unique set of fields that are displayed for only that type.
## Weapons
Weapons allow you to define the stat used to attack and damage, and the stat used by the defender. It also includes fields for range, asset bonus, flat modifier, damage amount, damage type, and armor piercing values.
When a weapon is added to a character, a matching entry is added to the character's Weapon list on the actions tab with all of the same details as the item. When the item is deleted, the matching weapon attack is also deleted (or visa-versa).

## Armor
Armor has fields for armor type (Light, Medium, Heavy) and the armor amount. When the Armor Type is changed, the Armor field will updated with the appropriate value (1, 2, or 3).
Adding armor to a character will **not** update their Armor automatically.

## Cypher
Cyphers have both a Level and Level Roll field. The Level field should be set to 0 (unless the item is in an inventory or parcel), while the Level Roll field should be the dice equation the determine the level of the cypher (default is 1d6).
When a cypher is added to a parcel, character inventory, or party sheet, the Level Roll field will be evaluated and randomized, and the cypher's level will be set to the result. If the cypher's level is not 0, then this automatic level evaluation will not occur.

## Artifact
Artifacts, like Cyphers, have a level. However an artifact's level is not randomized. Artifacts also have a depletion chance, which can be rolled directly from the item's window.

## Oddity
Oddities have no unique fields. This category is purely for organizational purposes.
## Actions
Every item can have a list of roll actions assigned to it. When the item with actions is added to a character, an ability is also added to the character as well with the same name as the item. This ability has the actions specified on the item's actions tab.
Create new actions by clicking the action button in the header of the page.
If the item is deleted, the ability is also deleted (and visa-versa).
