For me, a daily note is a place to capture fleeting notes and anything I don't know what to do with right away. Many Obsidian influencers use a daily note for journaling, habit tracking, planning, and many other uses. See the Additional Resources box for various guides. Personally, I don't want to create a process I have to do every day. I also don't think it's the best way to store information. If I'm not likely to review my daily notes, why store information there? But I can see the value for others who prioritize a daily journal and the ability to look back on daily happenings over time. I process and delete all daily notes during [[my weekly review]]. My daily note relies on the plugins Periodic Notes and Calendar. I have a daily note template that relies on the [[Templater]] plugin. On mobile, the daily note is the note that opens when I open the Obsidian app. > [!Tip]- Additional Resources > - [arminta - Daily Note template on Obsidian Forums](https://forum.obsidian.md/t/daily-and-weekly-reviews-dataview/17021) > - [Marco Serafini - Journaling in Obsidian](https://youtu.be/uqrGVjdIYpk?si=kmdGU39LhSZusG_X) > - [Bryan Jenks - My Fully Automated Daily Note Review System in Obsidian](https://youtu.be/5k4LfCVY0yQ?si=HJIWZVT9SG5_kt7i) > - [Construct by Dee - Obsidian Daily Note roll-up](https://youtu.be/m5SYja0V29w?si=7UNRKdBD2sB-Mbzp)
