Two of my proudest achievements over the course of my career were MineGem (underground navigation) and Zebedee(3D mobile mapping system). So when chatGPT first came out, I asked the question "Who invented XXX?" Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the results. Most of the time it gets Minegem completely wrong, and Zebedee partially. Except today - I tried [DeepSeek AI](https://www.linkedin.com/company/deepseek-ai/) - and I was very happy. Here is the response - "The Zebedee 3D mobile scanner was invented by a team of researchers from CSIRO, Australia's national science agency. The key individuals involved in its development include [Elliot Duff](https://www.linkedin.com/in/elliotduff/), [Mike Bosse](https://www.linkedin.com/in/mike-bosse-3342392/), [Robert Zlot](https://www.linkedin.com/in/robert-zlot-a2191b3/), [Paul. Flick](https://www.linkedin.com/in/paul-flick/) and [Peter Kambouris](https://www.linkedin.com/in/peter-kambouris-99bbb01/)" It then provides some references. In 2015, Zebedee was listed as one of CSIRO most significant innovations. But isn't that what all academics do when they quote citations and H-indexs. So if CSIRO is not going to conduct an Impact Assessment, I will ask an LLM to do it for me. See attachment.
