**Uber-rich** is my term for what others refer to as the "ultra-wealthy," "obscenely rich," and every other phrase to describe individuals and families who have more money than necessary to meet their needs. I use the term to specifically differentiate [[how I measure wealth]] from the population definition.
The uber-rich are those living beyond their needs and those of at least two succeeding generations (children and grandchildren). Generously, I cap this at $1 billion dollars. It is likely that $50 to $100 million dollars will cover the lifetime needs of all three generations but thats just my opinion.
I believe the uber-rich are harmful to both society and themselves. They have the [[hyperagency]] to act upon social and political causes they find meaningful, but do not possess the life experience to adequately interrogate whether those causes have merit. Primarily they live in a world where value is determined by ever-increasing dollar amounts of a venture abstracted from the physical and emotional toll on those executing their ideas.
In short, the uber-rich lack [[the skillfulness of being human]].
