# Scriptural References “And forces shall be mustered by him, and they shall defile the sanctuary fortress; then they shall take away the daily sacrifices, and place there the abomination of desolation.” [Daniel 11:31](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Daniel%2011%3A31&version=NKJV) “Then he shall confirm a treaty with many for one week; But in the middle of the week He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, Even until the consummation, which is determined, Is poured out on the desolate.” [Daniel 9:27](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Daniel%209%3A27&version=NKJV) “And from the time that the daily sacrifice is taken away, and the abomination of desolation is set up, there shall be one thousand two hundred and ninety days” [Daniel 12:11](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Daniel%2012%3A11&version=NKJV) “Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” [Matthew 25:15](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew%2025%3A15&version=NKJV) “So when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not” [Mark 13:14](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Mark%2013%3A14&version=NKJV) # What We Can Surmise - I believe the [[the Image of the beast]] is Revelation’s equivalent - This entity/device is going to be placed in the rebuilt Sanctuary in the holy place. - It is placed very late in the timeline, day 1290, and that is only 45 days before the end of the 2300 days. - Day 1290 is very likely the trigger for the last big events such as plagues, trumpets, woes, bowls of wrath, etc. Perhaps placing this abomination in the rebuilt temple is the last straw for God and it brings down his last full wrath acts. - Abomination, the Hebrew word for it, when used in the bible very often refers to an idol or idolatry. # My Current View This term, Abomination that causes desolation, refers to an item of idolatry (the image of the beast), man-made according to [Revelation 13:14](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Revelation%2013%3A14&version=NKJV) “telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast”. This image of the beast is then augmented by Satan with evil advanced technology (a form of AI) via [[the second beast]]; “He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed.” [Revelation 13:15](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Revelation%2013%3A15&version=NKJV). When it is placed in the holy place of an earthly rebuilt temple it brings desolation via the pouring out of the wrath of God via the [[Seven Seals, Seven Trumpets, Seven Last Plagues]]. The term Abomination is most always associated with idolatry and idol worship in the scriptures. [[Home Page]]
