XP300 GP 1500 This cloak is either red or orange. It functions as a cloak +1 for any wearer. When worn by a wizard, it conveys a sense of warmth, and functions as a ring of warmth. Upon command, the cloak can create a fire shield spell effect with hot flames (to grant protection from cold only), but this cancels the warmth. The duration of the fire shield is 1d4 turns. If the wearer casts any firebased spell [[Fireball]], [[Wall of Fire]], and so on), the cloak may be used to add one point per die of damage done. However, this causes the cloak to become nonmagical for 1—4 turns after that. This item inflicts 1d4 points of heat damage to any cold-based creature striking the wearer (such as an ice paraelemental). Unfortunately, it also gives a +2 bonus to the attack rolls of fire-based creatures (such as salamanders) attacking the wearer. The cloak of flame radiates magical heat at all times. This powerful effect cannot be negated or modified, and can always be seen with infravision, even if the cloak and its wearer are invisible. Its heat interferes with infravision used nearby; creatures within 15 feet must use normal or magical vision, since infravision can reveal only a reddish cloud of heat. **Ring of Warmth**, The ring provides its wearer with body heat even in conditions of extreme cold where the wearer has no clothing on at all. It also restores damage caused by cold at the rate of 1 point per turn. It provides a savig throw bonus of +2 vs cold-based attacks, and reduces damage sustained by -1 per die **Flame shield,** By casting this spell the magic-user appears to immolate himself or herself, but the flames are thin and wispy, shedding light equal only to half that of a normal torch (15' radius of dim light), and colored blue or green.  The flames are hot, and any cold-based attacks will be saved against at +2 on the dice, and either half normal damage or no damage will be sustained; fire-based attacks are normal, but if the magic-user fails to make the required saving throw (if any) against them, he or she will sustain double normal damage. The material component for this variation is a bit of phosphorous.
