- 2026: [[Great Pacific Heat Dome]] and ensuing blackouts spark the first [[Heat Strikes]]
- 2027: Full Moon Heat Strikes spread worldwide.
- 2028: The First Global Heat Strike Swarm occurs on June 21st.
- 2028: The Radiolarian Collective forms, utilizing and adapting blueprints for the MCIIE and beginning designs for ocean-based autotrophic communities in the San Franscisco Bay.
- 2029: MCIIE publishes comprehensive simulated ecosystem plans that consistently achieve stable autotrophy in Zones 3-5, and in climate scenarios up to 3C.
- [[The Atchafalaya Levy Failure of 2029]] - Massive Flooding in the wake of Hurricane Isla overwhelms the Old River Control Structure, Atchafalaya River captures the Mississippi.
- 2030: MCIIE attempts first year-round attempt at full autotrophy, based on the simulated projections. Despite very promising early results, a series of technical failures, followed by historic flooding and high winds, ultimate causes the camp to be dismantled just 4 months into the run.
## 2031-2035: Innovation and Necessity
- 2031: MCIIE completes first full year, successfully growing 70% of their food, and reaching full self sufficiency for water and energy.
- 2032: MCIIE narrowly misses qualifying for Autotrophy, reaching 100% food production by March, achieving and sustaining Autotrophy for 9 months.
- 2032: MCIIE's narrow misses in 2031 and 2032 sparked a "Farms Race" as teams around the world raced to beat the MCIIE at their own game, becoming the first in their Energy Zones to claim the Auto-Trophy.
- 2033: MCIIE Maintains and sustains practical autotrophy from December 21st 2032 to December 21st, 2033, and publishes full documentation and performance data for [[Peer-to-Peer Review]]
- 2034: MCIIE's achievement of full Autotrophy is confirmed, and awarded the first Auto-Trophy ever in [[Energy Zone 5]] on June 21st, 2034.
## 2036-2040: Global Movement and Environmental Challenges
