Designing is the process of shaping something from idea into reality. In effect, every time you see anything artificially made, there was somebody involved in designing it, be it something material (a thing) or immaterial (a process).
## Design and intentions
Professor of urban planning, philosopher, and scholar of organizational learning Donald Schön put it this way:
> “Designers put things together and bring new things into being, dealing in the process with many variables and constraints, some initially known and some discovered through designing. Almost always, designers’ moves have consequences other than those intended for them."

## Design Justice
Design justice is a framework for analysis of how design distributes benefits and burdens between various groups of people.
