## Using Search On Bluesky
Read the official [Tips and Tricks For Bluesky Search](https://bsky.social/about/blog/05-31-2024-search) on the official Bluesky blog.
**Some search term examples:**
Search term: **"hello world"**
Use quotes around keywords. Results include posts that use the phrase in [[Alt text - Why It's Important|alt text]] on images as well.
Search term: **\#kidlitcha**t
Will show posts with that tag, from across Bluesky. Click "recent" to see most recent posts with that tag. Default is "top".
Search term: **from:debbieohi.com**
Will show posts from that user. If you're logged in, you can use **from:me**. You can also combine keywords, like:
**to:brianlarossa.com from:me**
Will show posts to Brian's account from my account.
## Searching A Particular User's Posts
As of February 17, 2025, you can now search posts by a particular user.
Just go to the user's profile and click on the three dots "..." in the top right.

Enter what you want to search for within that user's posts. Within the search field, you'll see a reminder that you are searching within that particular user's posts.
![[SearchPosts_02.jpg|400]]
Note that the list of resulting posts will default to "Top" posts, whatever that really means. If you want to see the most recent results, click on "Latest."

## Another Way To Search Within A User's Posts
If a user consistently uses certain tags, you can click on that tag to see an option to search for more posts with that tag JUST within that user's feed.
This is another reason to be thoughtful about what tags you use for your posts, instead of tossing in lots of tags in hopes of getting noticed.
