# Answers To Frequently asked Questions
*(last updated Aug. 28, 2025)*
I created this page because I found myself pointing people to the same resources over and over again, so decided to gradually compile a list of answers here. You can also see [my recent updates to this Guide here](https://publish.obsidian.md/debbieohi/changes).
## What should I do first, after signing up for Bluesky?
[[b. Quickstart Guide|Quickstart Guide]]
I *strongly* recommend you reading this, even if you have been on Bluesky a while BUT haven't taken the time to tweak your settings. I also try to keep this updated; Bluesky has been improving a LOT since the early days!
## Where can I find more info about (topic here)?
I've compiled some search tips here: [[Search Tips|Search]].
For 99% of the questions I get on Bluesky, I just go to the Guide you are reading now, do a Search, find the relevant page(s), send the links to the person who asked the question. Please please please use the SEARCH. It's not perfect but does a good job at finding the info, if it exists in this Guide. Thank you!
## How do I get added to (resource or feed or starter pack)?
In the early days of Bluesky when there weren't a lot of kidlit people around, I created many lists and feeds. Now (happily!) the kidlit community has grown, with many people creating their own lists, feeds, starter packs, and other resources. Because of this AND because I need to turn my attention back to my own work, I lack the time to maintain all those early resources. I was tempted to delete a bunch of them but I know they are still used, so I've decided to just leave them in place. I've updated the Info/About descriptions whenever possible to make it clear that I am no longer maintaining a particular resource.
If you are looking to be added to the [KidLit Mega Feed](https://bsky.app/profile/debbieohi.com/feed/kidlit), please be aware that there is no one master list of users. To help prevent trolls and spammers from pushing content to the list, only those who are on a moderated list are able to use the /#KidLit (or other relevant tags) to push content to the feed. There are MANY moderated lists; one of the goals is to limit the feed to those who are active on Bluesky, and who are making an effort to connect with others in the kidlit community here (rather than just asking to be added to a list and then start pumping self-promo into the feed). Hence the requirement to find a moderated list and ask to be added. You can find more detailed instructions in Brian Kirby's [KidLit Mega Feed post](https://briankirbystudio.com/the-kidlit-mega-feed/). Thanks to [Brian Kirby](https://bsky.app/profile/boringstorybook.com) and [Charlene Chua](https://bsky.app/profile/charlenedraws.bsky.social) for being volunteer co-admins of the KidLit Mega Feed.
In other cases, the info about how to be added (if I am actively maintaining that resource) is usually in the Info/About section or page.
