The Oathsworn are the elite centaur warriors of [[Vargoth Darkhorn]], chosen from [[Kildeveria]]’s strongest and most loyal clans to uphold the [[Vargoth Darkhorn|Wanderer King]]’s rule. Swift, disciplined, and fearsome, they serve as enforcers, scouts, and protectors, patrolling the vast plains and wetlands of [[Kildeveria]]. Their reputation is legendary, those who witness the thunder of their hooves on the horizon know that justice, swift and uncompromising, is near.
The Oathsworn wear custom-fitted leather armour reinforced with bone and iron plating to provide protection without sacrificing mobility. Their armour is adorned with symbols of personal victories, such as feathers from prey they’ve hunted or beads crafted from the bones of fallen enemies. Each warrior wears a braided armband of woven horsehair and grass around their biceps, signifying their sacred oath to [[Vargoth Darkhorn|Vargoth]] and the land.
Each Oathsworn warrior is an imposing figure, standing over seven feet tall, with muscular equine bodies and powerful builds. Their human torsos are broad and battle-scarred, with many centaurs proudly displaying the tattoos and ritual markings of their clans. Their manes and tails are braided and decorated with beads, feathers, and talismans, each representing milestones in their lives.

Their faces are often painted with tribal war paint, swirling patterns resembling wind or flowing rivers, and their intense, focused eyes mirror the open plains they call home. Whether armed with long hunting spears, composite longbows, or curved swords, the Oathsworn exude confidence in their ability to dominate any battlefield.
The Oathsworn’s duties extend far beyond enforcing law and order. They are elite warriors trained in mobile combat, reconnaissance, and tactical strikes. They operate in small, highly coordinated groups, capable of traveling great distances without rest to track down fugitives or repel intruders at the border.
When dealing with internal disputes within [[Kildeveria]], they act as mediators, enforcing the [[Vargoth Darkhorn|Wanderer King]]’s decisions and settling conflicts through ceremonial duels when necessary. Punishments are often symbolic, designed to preserve unity and honour. However, betrayal or treachery is met with exile, a punishment the Oathsworn execute with grim efficiency, ensuring the traitor is never able to return.
