Obsidian is an open source knowledge management software and the one that powers my own knowledge base. Content is contained in markdown files, making them human readable. It also comes with rich linking capability, making it possible to organize notes in a complex network of information. I consider Obsidian a great option for maintaining a [[Digital Gardening|digital garden]]. I roughly organize my own Obsidian according to the [Johnny Decimal](https://johnnydecimal.com/) system, with separate folders for literature notes, projects, and my wikipedia entries.
