# Romance Guide
## Overview
Romance in Cornucopia is inclusive and available to all players! **Any player character can romance any bachelor or bachelorette, regardless of gender.** The game celebrates love in all its forms, allowing you to pursue the relationship that feels right for you.

## How to Romance
### Building Friendship
1. **Talk Daily** - Speak with NPCs twice per day for +3 hearts
2. **Give Gifts** - One gift per day (favorite items give +6 hearts)
3. **Attend Festivals** - Bonus heart multipliers during festivals
4. **Complete Quests** - Some NPCs have special requests
### Heart Levels

### Romance Path
Once you reach Heart Level 5, you can begin dating:
1. **Reach Heart Level 5+** - Build friendship first
2. **Give Romance Gift** - Gift Infatuated Fudge, Devoted Dark Chocolates, etc. to start dating
3. **Complete 2+ Dating Cutscenes** - Go on dates to deepen your relationship
4. **Give Engagement Ring** - Propose marriage (requires Heart Level 5+)
5. **Wedding Ceremony** - Get married at the Church
6. **Start a Family** - Give Soft Plush Bunny to have children together

## Marriage & Children
### After Marriage
- Your spouse moves into your home
- They may help with farm chores
- Special married dialogue and events
- Can still build relationships with other NPCs (friendship only)
### Children
After marriage, you can have children by giving your spouse a **Soft Plush Bunny**. Your children will grow through three stages:
- **Baby** - Newborn stage
- **Toddler** - Beginning to walk and explore
- **Child** - Fully grown child
The appearance of your children depends on who you marry:
- **Human children** - From marrying most characters
- **Kappa children** - From marrying Mako
- **Wizard children** - From marrying Aderly
- **Goddess children** - From marrying Mia
- **Spirit children** - From marrying Sayaka

## Tips for Romance
- **Favorite gifts are randomized** per save file - pay attention when they're revealed!
- **Talk to NPCs twice daily** for maximum friendship gain
- **Festival attendance** provides bonus hearts - don't miss them!
- **Check schedules** to find NPCs at the best times
- **Any gender can romance anyone** - follow your heart!
