**Leo Beings**
With regards to the Solar Presidency of Leo, the Jovian Angel (and his attributes) are:
**Verchiel** - **Leo** - The whole **life** spending original **principle** of the whole cosmic hierarchy, on the planets as well as in the spheres, is controlled by the fifth original genius of the Jupiter sphere. **All life in all spheres** and on all planets, including our earth, is directed by him, no matter whether life in the vegetable, the animal or the human kingdom is concerned, or whether man in his physical, astral or mental body is in question.
If the magician gets into contact with this original genius, he will be instructed by him in the **highest form of magic and** **Qabalah**, which refers to the whole cosmic hierarchy.
Verchiel reveals to the magician special methods and practices by which he can get under his control _the highest power in the whole cosmic hierarchy_.
Apart from this, **all miracles which can be caused by belief and the power of conviction** come under this genius' range of power.
We are dealing, then with Life; the Vital Principle. Some have said that Life is change. In this respect, then we are dealing also with Growth; so Life and Growth are chief characteristics along with Self-Mastery which leads to Service.
**Wybalap** - The **effectiveness of** **the light-principle** in all grades of existence in everything created on the planets and in the spheres of the total cosmic hierarchy is subject to the range of competence of the sixteenth genius of the Sun.
**Tzizhet** - **Divine enlightenment** from its most simple to its highest form is made available by the seventeenth original genius of the Sun sphere to all human beings and all beings of all planets and spheres, _either by inspiration, or by intuition, or by any other faculties_.
**Dabetz** - The eighteenth genius of the Sun sphere is responsible for _transferring_ upon men and beings of all planets and spheres **the recognition of the Divine Virtues** and for making them acquainted with the influence of these virtues and for helping man to realize them.
**Banamol**- The **materialization of the Divine Original Light** within the creation of all planets and in all spheres of our cosmic hierarchy, down to the most inferior expression of vitality, belongs to the range of power of the nineteenth genius.
Next we have the Planetary Beings associated with the Sign of Leo; beginning with the Intelligences of the Earth Zone:
The subsequent thirty heads of the zone girdling the earth are under the zodiacal sign of Leo; all their seals have to be drawn in a golden, bronze or golden-yellow colour.
**Kosem** (1° Leo) - instructs the magician in the fire-principle of the
zone girdling the earth, and in its influence on our physical world. At the same
time the magician learns from this head how to use, magically, the principles
of light, fire and, above all, the electric fluid for spirit, soul and body.
**Methaera** (2° Leo) - shows the magician how he can, in the physical
world, make use of the powers of the sun and of the electrical fluid through
various practices, sometimes even by the help of magical aids - for instance
fluid condensers, sun-ether radiation apparatus, and the like. This head leads
the magician's attention to the correlative effects of the electric and magnetic
fluids, to their harmony, and shows him how this harmony can be applied for diverse magic operations.
**Jvar** (3° Leo) - informs the magician on the origin of passions and how they are embodied in the astral body. In this connection the magician also learns to understand the deep secret sense of all passions, which serve as means for a certain purpose and are to strengthen will-power and other magic faculties.
Jvar tells the magician how to control passions by certain magical aids and other means and how they can be transmuted into opposite, positive qualities. The practices recommended by this head may be applied by
the magician as an aid for those scholars who are on the way to magic development, and who have certain passions they are not able to control.
**Mahra** (4° Leo) - instructs the magician in the magic of elements, which enables him to make practical use of the electro-magnetic fluid in nature. Mahra is a master of the magic of elements, especially of the magic of
nature.
**Paruch** (5° Leo) - informs the magician of the tetrapolar magnet in the physical world, which in its relation to nature, is analogous to the physical body of man. He also teaches the magician how to make practical use of these powers in relation to the universal laws. [cf. Light Green [F] and its relationship to Mirak and Arcturian 'complexion] [also cf the X shaped electronic resonating chamber of Human posture]
**Aslotama** (6° Leo) - is well informed of the power of propagation of all seed, in nature as well as in man; knows about all its mysteries and introduces the magician into its practical application. Apart from this, the magician learns from this intelligence how the electric fluid, in its correlation to the magnetic fluid, creates life and causes growth.
[See 'star-seed' hypothesis, etc. (Universal Germ)]
**Kagaros** (7° Leo) - points out to the magician the connections of the principle of the air, which in nature plays the role of a mediator. At the same time he tells the magician about the correlation between nature and the body of man, between the astral body and the spirit.
**Romasara** (8° Leo) - reveals to the magician the secrets of the air principle from the magical point of view. He is an excellent initiator into the art of breathing, the pranayama, and teaches the magician how to apply this art correctly.
By Romasara the magician may also be initiated by Abhisheka, by initiation the genuine knowledge of magic breathing, of pranayama, which in the pure sense of the word does not mean the accumulation of air, but the accumulation of power.
**Anemalon** (9° Leo) - is a good initiator into all mystical ways, especially in the way of love and holiness. He explains to the magician the difference between the way to holiness and the one to perfection.
**Tabbata** (10° Leo) - This intelligence teaches the magician how to make his body resistant against fire in the magic way, by transmutation of elements, i. e. how to make it almost invulnerable. He instructs him how to change water into ice in the alchemistic-Qabalistic manner.
**Ahahbon** (11° Leo) - being an initiator, too, knows many methods of producing states of ecstasy, trance and consciousness. Ahahbon teaches the magician to magically train his consciousness so that the impressions he gets in any sphere are truly transmuted into the physical world.
**Akanejonaho** (12° Leo) - is a master of **divine** **Theurgy** and **Qabalistic mysticism**. He teaches the magician how to apply correctly the divine virtues in analogy to the laws of creation with the aim of
spiritualization.
**Horog** (13° Leo) - can inform the magician precisely about the way to perfection in accordance with the laws of creation and helps him to solve the darkest and most difficult problems in this connection.
**Texai** (14° Leo) - By this head the magician is taught to understand and absorb fully the synthesis of all religious systems and philosophies. Apart from this, he is initiated into the transmutation of the symbolic presentation of philosophical systems into intellectual language.
**Herich** (15° Leo) - instructs the magician in the connections between the mental, astral and physical worlds, i. e. in the correlative action of the mental, astral and physical fluids in body and nature, and furthermore, in the disharmonies caused by these fluids, and in the restoration of harmonies. All relevant disharmonies can be fully explained to the magician by this intelligence. Apart from this, the magician is given diverse methods on how influences on the mental and astral matrices become possible.
**Ychniag** (16° Leo) - entrusts the magician with the methods which make accessible to him omniscience and the highest divine intuition and he shows him how his intellect can be enlightened by these divine virtues.
**Odac** (17° Leo) - is an initiator into the **magic of cosmic** **love** and acquaints the magician with **Theurgic** **magic** love methods and teaches him how to apply them in the mental, astral and physical worlds.
**Mechebbera** (18° Leo) - instructs the magician in the occult anatomy of man, in its context, and informs him of magic Theurgical methods for medical treatment.
**Paschan** (19° Leo) - is an initiator into talismanic magic. He teaches the magician the art of making talismans, of charging them magically for the healing of various diseases, or for binding certain beings to it.
**Corocona** (20° Leo) - makes the magician acquainted with the preparation of alchemistal substances made of metals. The magician is taught by this intelligence how to produce the true alchemic gold tincture, and how to use it for diverse diseases. He is also instructed by Corocona in measuring out dosages of alchemical medicines.
**Rimog** (21° Leo) - gives the magician the necessary instructions for arousing inside him his talents for prophecy. If the magician wishes it, Rimog by himself or by one of his subordinates, awakens in him the faculty for prophesying. Rimog is justly called the prophet of the zone girdling the earth, though his prophecies are not at all restricted to the aforesaid zone; they also refer to our physical world.
**Abbetira** (22° Leo) - shows the magician the way to acquire high esteem, power and wealth in the physical world. Apart from this, he can help him in getting into the favor of very important people.
**Eralicarison** (23° Leo) - instructs the magician by Abhisheka, the true initiation, into all religious systems, especially into all kinds of yoga. He helps the magician in decoding the most difficult tantric texts.
**Golopa** (24° Leo) - instructs the magician on how to read mental, astral and physical events in the Akasha. Furthermore, the makes the magician realize how mental, astral, and physical causes by the Akasha-
principle are turned into effects. For instance, Golopa can give the magician precise information on how **causes that he has created by thoughts** will
become effects, and if they will become effective in his present life or in another incarnation. The same applies to astral and physical causes.
**Jgakys** (25° Leo) - places methods at the magician's disposal by which he can refine his consciousness for Spheric impressions without the separation of the mental body.
**Pagalusta** (26° Leo) - instructs the magician how he can, either by himself or by the help of mediums, produce mediumistic phenomena. He also gives him precise instructions on how, by de-materialization and rematerialization, he can move objects over the greatest distances.
**Ichdison** (27° Leo) - initiates the magician into the methods of how any wish is realized in the physical plane by magic powers.
**Takarosa** (28° Leo) - teaches the magician magic formulae by the application of which effects are brought about in the mental, astral and physical world by the elements, or by beings of the elements. The magician may also be taught Qabalistic formulae by which, above all, the beings of the air and water principles are easily made obedient.
**Andrachor** (29° Leo) - is regarded as master of the magic of water and entrusts the magician with many secret practices by which he would otherwise have no notion, as for instance, the curing of severe diseases, and the like, by the water element.
**Carona** (30° Leo) - informs the magician of means which protect him against thunderstorms, gales etc. Apart from this, the magician's attention is drawn, by this intelligence, to Qabalistic practices by the application of which he can calm the rough sea, stop or cause heavy rains, evoke or cease
storms etc.
Next we have the Mercurian Genii related to the Angels of the Decans:
**Nith-Haiah** - The twenty-fifth genius is, as far as **magic and Qabalah** are concerned, the greatest original initiator of the Mercury sphere, who
guards all secret mysteries well. He sees to it that to no unworthy person is revealed the" Abhisheka" or knowledge in magic and Qabalah. On the other
hand he **initiates a mature magician into the profoundest secret mysteries of magic and Qabalah** and enables him to comprehend the deepest mysteries
of the cosmic orderliness and to make practical use of its laws. The magician will not only find in this genius an original initiator into all sciences, but also into the greatest wisdom that can ever be grasped by a man. **Nith-Haiah is the guardian-angel of all magicians on earth.**
**Haaiah** - The twenty-sixth genius is regarded as a protector of justice and he helps the magician in contact with him win any law suit if the magician is right. Being a friend of high diplomacy, this genius can help the magician to make a speedy career if he is working in the diplomatic field. The magician also is informed how to gain the favor of very important people, how to gain knowledge and riches, how to encounter his enemies, in order to reveal any treason or secret plans and operations.
**Jerathel**-, the twenty-seventh genius, can give the magician an excellent talent for learning languages and procure for him the favor of friend and enemy. He lets the magician see in the Akasha-principle what his
enemies are planning to do and how he can protect himself against them. For this purpose, the genius entrusts him with various banning formulae. If the
magician is a writer, Jerathel can make him a famous man by providing him with an excellent capacity of perception and showing him means and ways to
achieve this without difficulty.
**Seeiah**- The twenty-eighth genius can inform the magician of powerful formulae by which he can, for instance, cause or stop thunder and
lightning, or a terrible thunderstorm, how to cause a fire over the greatest distance or how to stop or localize it, how to destroy completely whole cities and how, on the contrary, to protect towns and houses in war-time, so that they remain untouched. You need never worry about any misuse, since an immature person would never be revealed these secrets. The magician who has taken up contacts with this genius need not be afraid of anything, for he is under special protection.
**Reiiel** - is the twenty-ninth genius of the Mercury sphere. He makes available to the magician **great truths**, and he makes him understand them
completely. Besides this, he informs the magician of the plans of his enemies, no matter whether visible or invisible, and gives him advice how he can protect himself against them, how he can make them change their minds to become his friends. This genius is prepared to reveal to the magician many secrets which up to this date have remained unrevealed. He may also be told by Reiiel about the **cosmic orderliness** and the correlative effects of its powers.
**Omael** - is the thirtieth genius in this sequence and a great friend of the animal kingdom. He is therefore able to inform the magician of many means which can be successfully applied to cure sick animals. He is also a friend of physicians, especially of gynecologists and surgeons and, if the magician is active in any of these fields, he will be given excellent skill by this genius and, apart from this, will be initiated into occult anatomy and medicine.
Omael is also well acquainted with chemistry and alchemy, and the magician may profit a great deal from him in this respect. Omael also gives exact information on pre-natal education. The magician who has got into contact with this genius will never get into distress and grievance. He will always feel the favorable influence of his protector.
Following this are the Venusian Angels:
 31) **Iseh**, 32) **Isodeh**, 33) **Idmuh**, 34) **Irumiah** 35) **Idea**, 36) **Idovi**, 37) **Isill**,
38) **Ismee**. - This group of eight intelligences teach the magician to cause friendship, love, sympathy, in all spheres and planes by force of magic and Qabalah, applying, for this purpose, apt rituals, ceremonies and gestures.
As we have already covered the Solar Genii (quite extensively) and since we began with the Jovian Angel, the final three Angels will be from the Sphere of Mars"
**Oksos** (1-10° Leo)
**Otobir** (11-20° Leo)
**Kutruc** (21-30° Leo)
(of course, no-one has trusted Humans with the Science of the Mars Sphere, so no information is given; perhaps once a thorough mastery of the Sun has been demonstrated, then the Science of Universal Law will open up.)

Back to the dippers, we find one of the 'pointers', Mirak (central Star of the Ursa major constellation) is featured in Leo.
The Stars of the Big Dipper were regarded by the Hindu as representing the 7 Rishis (Mirak being identified as the Rishi Pulaha). Mirak is a **Greenish White** Star right in the Middle of the Bear. (cf. Arcturian Beings)
When Jupiter Placed the Bears in Heaven to prevent Artemis from killing Orion it is said that, fearing the teeth he lifted the Bear by the tail and this accounts for the length of the tail (Bears don't usually have tails).
As an influence It is said to give a quiet, prudent, suspicious, mistrustful, self-controlled, patient nature, but an uneasy spirit and great anger and revengefulness when roused. By the Kabalists it is associated with the Hebrew letter Zain and the 7th Tarot Trump "The Chariot."
To those born under the influence of the Great Bear, "wild creatures will show no hostile face, and in their dealings with animals these men will find them submissive to their rule. Such a one will be able to control huge lions with a gesture, to fondle wolves, and to play with captive panthers; so far from shunning the powerful bears that are the kin of the constellation, he will train them to human accomplishments and feats foreign to their nature; he will seat himself on the elephant's back and with a goad will direct the movements of a beast which disgraces its massive weight by yielding to tiny jabs; he will dispel the fury of the tiger, training it to become a peaceful animal, whilst all the other beasts which molest the earth with their savageness he will join in friendship to himself; keen-scented whelps he will train..."
This means in part that we will learn to domesticate animals for work (such as the ox, the elephant, the horse) and that we will domesticate the house-cat and the dog and we will spoil them as our pets like we do our children. This has taken on increasing importance in relatively modern times (pets) and lately has become even very chic and consumerist. But the salient point is that our current times are showing signs of more and more influence from the Ursa Constellations. Remembering that Mirak is one of the Pointers (pointing the way towards Polaris, the North Star), we might conjecture that the 'great polar shift' that we hear so much drivel about may be of an entirely different quality than popularly conceived.
Esoterically, of course, the meaning is more personal and entirely clear; those Guided by the Northern Lights will easily tame their inner, animalistic natures on their way to becoming sages.
**The astrological influences of the star Mirak**
Merak has a Mars nature and is of importance in a natal chart, if the sign Leo is tenanted and other configurations give a clue to love of command and domination. This star is credited with increasing the power to get on in life and this is especially so if in conjunction with the Sun, Mars or Pluto. Important from our standpoint will be the 'dominion over the beast of the field and the birds of the air', especially regarding our inner 'nature'.
Bootees: Bootees (near to both Great and Lesser Bears) has the distinction of being known as their Guardian. Its brightest Star is Arcturus.
**Arcturus**
Arcturus is one of the most advanced civilizations
in our entire galaxy.
Edgar Cayce
It is the fifth- dimensional (5th Kingdom) civilization that is a prototype of Earth's future. Its energy works as an emotional, mental, and spiritual healer for humanity. It is also an energy gateway through which humans pass during death and rebirth.
It functions as a way station for nonphysical consciousness to become accustomed to physicality.
Described as the mid-way programming center used by the physical brotherhoods in this universe to govern the many rounds of experiments with "physicals" at this end of the galaxy.
Arcturus itself is the brightest star in the Bootees constellation (4th brightest in the sky), which is approximately thirty-six light years from Earth. It is an Orange Giant (18x larger than the sun, 4x its mass); 105 x brighter than our Sun. The name is from the Greek for 'Bear' (Arktos) and is known as the Bear-keeper, referring of course to Ursa major

The Arcturians teach that the most fundamental ingredient for living in the fifth dimension (5th Kingdom) is love. Negativity, fear and guilt must be overcome and exchanged for love and light.
The Arcturians work in close connection with the ascended masters whom they call the Brotherhood of the All. They also work closely with what they refer to as the Galactic Command. The Arcturians travel the universe in their starships (vehicles of Light), which are some of the most advanced in the entire universe.
One of the reasons Earth has not been attacked by warlike negative extraterrestrials (what we would have called demons form other Planes; the contra-genii) has been those civilizations' fear of the advanced starships (Light vessels) of the Arcturians. Their ships are state-of-the-art technology, far beyond anything I have mentioned so far. One of the starships circling the Earth is called the _Starship Athena_ (the Olympian Goddess Athena), after the Greek goddess.
Arcturians society is governed by the elders, who are revered by the people of Arcturus for their advanced knowledge, wisdom, and extremely high vibrational frequencies. The higher the vibrational frequency, the closer one is to Light, or spirit, or _God_.
The Arcturians are short in physical statue, about three or four feet tall, and slender. They look very much alike, which they are happy about because it erases the pettiness of comparing looks which is so predominant to Earth society.
The Arcturians are the most loving and non-judgmental beings you can possibly imagine.
- **Their skin is a greenish color**. (cf. Mirak)
- They have very large, almond- shaped eyes.
- They have only three fingers.
- They have the ability to move objects with their minds and are totally telepathic.
Their source of nourishment is an effervescent liquid that is highly vitalizing to their entire being. (compares favorably to the Nectar of Chanting, Kirtans; Exuberance)
Their eyes are dark brown or black. Their main organ of seeing is actually their telepathic nature, not their physical eyes. Their sense of hearing transcends even their telepathic nature. They also have an ability to sense with the backs of their heads.
The average life span is from three hundred fifty to four hundred years (450 years in 3 stages). Their highly developed spiritual nature has allowed them to avoid aging, since they have the ability to transcend time and space. They terminate life when the contract that has been arranged for their existence is finished (the Protons are all accounted for ala 'Black Hole' regeneration of new matter). There is no sickness in Arcturus; it was eliminated centuries ago.
In the Arcturian system there are no extreme temperatures. Their civilization is one that has transcended duality and lives in oneness. Professions on Arcturus are determined by a person's vibrational frequency and the colors in his or her aura. For example, those who are in charge of taking care of the children must have violet as the predominant color in their auras, for only the wisest souls are allowed to associate with the young.
The same is true for those who are allowed to give birth.
They are screened and tested in terms of their auric and vibrational frequencies, and when chosen by the elders to give birth to an Arcturian child, people go through an amazing process. The vibrations of both individuals involved are raised to a seventh- dimensional frequency (the entire diatonic scale; relating to all the Planets) for the birthing process to insure bringing in the most highly evolved souls. (The seventh-dimensional frequency is that of an ascended master.)
Reproduction is an honor on Arcturus and one of the most highly regarded professions. The actual reproductive act is not performed in a physical sense as it is understood on Earth. On Arcturus it is done through a kind of mind link in which the male and female energies are perfectly balanced (see 'Art'; the Twin Androgyne - Apollo/Artemis; Union of Sun and Moon, Royal Wedding). Through this procreation (Creative) process, some kind of electron force (the Black-Hole spews new electrons into the Universe to regenerate new matter) flows through the two beings, and it creates another being that is a replica of the link (rather completes the link that was begun by the star-seeds from the ancient proto-star, which seeded the Life-forms on the Planets).
The new life form is then taken to a special room that emanates the proper vibrational frequencies until the being is ready for integration into a family unit on Arcturus. Many beings from Arcturus are seeded onto other planets because the high council has ordered this as a great act.
On Arcturus there is not competition. (cf. Apollo could broach no competition)
Every thought, word, deed, and product is judged by its ability to raise the vibration closer to God. If it does not, it does not exist on Arcturus (fits the description of Sages regarding 'things that really matter). A person's frequency of vibration is directly related to the mastery he has over his body, emotions, thoughts, actions, and creations (the 12 Disciplines). Arcturians have total mastery over these aspects of self (command over all 12 bodies).
They have developed the ability to transcend the ego (this transcendentalism is the source of their healing), the separative, lower, fear-based self. Success is judged only in terms of the measure of Light frequency. There are machines (what we would call engines, plus their engineers; a 'Science of the Law') that constantly check the vibrational frequencies each individual on the planet is manifesting (compare to the rods in the retina of the human eye which comprehend the shades of 'grey' down to the very last photon).
If one particular Arcturian receives feedback that he is not meeting his own goals for evolution, then immediately the elders send teachers to help that individual. (Hence one finds many fine schools and Institutes of Higher Learning upon the Star Centers)
The name of the star derives from Ancient Greek (_Arktouros_) and means "Guardian of the Bear", ultimately from (_arktos_), "bear" + (_ouros_), "watcher, guardian". It has been known by this name since at least the time of Hesiod. This is a reference to it being the brightest star in the constellation Boötes (of which it forms the left foot), which is next to the Greater and Lesser Bears, Ursa Major and Ursa Minor.
It is taught by a disciple of New Age guru Jose Arguelles on Arguelles’ website that 3,000,000 years ago beings from Arcturus colonized the northern hemisphere of Mars and beings from Antares colonized the planet′s southern hemisphere.
**Regulus**
We finish with the Star Regulus (Cor Leonis; the Heart of the Lion). Regulus is so named because it was believed that this Star controlled the Heavens. In Latin it is called Rex (King), In Babylonian 'Sharru', in Persia and India Magha (Mighty; similar to Magus).
"The Lyon's herte is called of some men, the Royall Starre, for they that are borne under it, are thought to have a royall nativitie." and also
"If the star of the great lion is gloomy the heart of the people will not rejoice."
The attentive student will remember that the Order of Beings in Tiphareth is Melekim (Kings). Cor Leonis, then is the Royal Star.
**The astrological influences of the star Regulus**
**_Notes:_** A triple star, flushed white and ultramarine, situated on the body of the Lion. From _Regulus_, a Little King, and often called Cor Leonis, the Lion's Heart, and symbolically the Crushing Foot. It was one of the four Royal Stars of the Persians in 3,000 B.C., when, as Watcher of the North, it marked the summer solstice.
It gives violence, destructiveness, military honor of short duration, with ultimate failure, imprisonment, violent death, success, high and lofty ideals and strength of spirit, and makes its natives magnanimous, grandly liberal, generous, ambitious, fond of power, desirous of command, high-spirited and independent.
It may convey royal properties, noble mind, frankness, courage. The importance of this star is accentuated by its nearness to the ecliptic. Its effect is in the best sense that of Jupiter and Mars. On the Ascendant, it will give a courageous and frank character, especially if in conjunction with the Sun, Moon, Jupiter or Mercury. Positioned on the MC, Regulus will raise the native to high positions in life, positions far exceeding the environment the native was born into. On the MC it is not only a good omen for a military career, but also for careers connected with the public, such as lawyers, civil servants, bankers and the clergy, especially if Regulus is also in conjunction with the Sun or Moon or with a benefic stellar body. According to tradition, Regulus conjunct MC will bring with it connections with rulers, honorable people or famous people. If the cosmogram as a whole points to this possibility, Jupiter conjunct Regulus is one of the best configurations for success. People like this can reach high positions, positions of trust, preferment and favors; fortunes. Riches and power could fall to these natives easily.
**The Constellation Leo**
In Greek and Roman myth **Leo** represented the **Nemean Lion** slain by Hercules
The name **Nemea** is believed to be cognate with Latin **_nemus_**, from Greek **_nemos_**, 'grove' [Klein].
“A grove (**_nemus_**) is named for divinity (**_numen_**), because pagans set up their idols there, for groves are sites with larger trees, shady with foliage.”
"Etymologically the Latin word **_numen_** originally and literally meant '**nodding**.' It has the sense of inherent vitality and presiding, and was also associated with meanings of 'command' or 'divine majesty'". This is also how Varro understood it to mean:
"By invoking your name And your _numen_ with many a prayer. _Numen_ ‘divine will or sway,' they say, is _imperium_ ‘power,' and is derived from _nutus_ ‘nod,' because he at whose _nutus_ ‘nod’ everything is, seems to have the greatest _imperium_ ‘power’; therefore Homer uses this word in application to Jupiter, and so does Accius a number of times.
Latin **_numen_**, 'divine will, divine command', properly 'divine approval expressed by nodding the head', from _nuere_, **'to nod**', which is cognate with Greek _neuein_, 'to nod' [Klein], from the Indo-European root ***_neu_**_-_**_2_** 'To nod'. Derivatives: **nutation** (**nodding the head**), **innuendo**, **numen** (plural **numina**), **numinous**(characterized by a sense of a supernatural presence).
[The changing of names of the crown prince of Nemea, must have some significance; Nemea might also relate to the word **'name'** from Indo-European root *_no-men_- 'Name'?] [thus 'OM Namah Shivayah' (Om is the name of God); 'I AM the alpha and the omega, the beginning and the end and everything in between", also Namaste: '(I greet you) in the Name'; or, 'the Light inside me recognizes the Light inside you".]
**Nemea** in Southern Greece on the Peloponnesian Peninsula was also famous in Greek myth as the place where the infant Opheltes, the crown prince of Nemea, lying on a bed of parsley, was killed by a serpent while his nurse fetched water for the Seven against Thebes. The Seven founded the Nemean Games, as a funerary festival, in his memory which were one of the four great Greek athletic festivals conducted every second year, starting in 573 B.C., and the crown of victory was made of parsley (others say celery). This infant who before he was killed by a serpent was called Opheltes (from Greek _ophis_, serpent - the infant was found dead within the coils of a snake [1]). The Seven Heroes renamed him Archemoros, from _arche_ beginning _+ moros_, death; 'Beginner of Death'. Other legends attribute the institution of the Nemean games to Heracles, after he had slain the Nemean Lion.
Regulus, the alpha star of Leo, was referred to in Greek as _Basiliskos_ by Ptolemy, translated "Little King", and his name was also believed to be related to the basilisk serpent. Greek βασιλίσκος _Basilískos_, "little king"; is translated into Latin as _Regulus_, the word being a diminutive of Latin _rex_, "king". There seems to be no myth or legend linked to the naming of Regulus. It seems likely to me that there could be a connection between the infant Opheltes, whose name is from Greek _ophis_, serpent, and Latin _Regulus,_ Greek _Basilískos_; both names translated "little king", and the Greek name also meaning a type of snake.
The comparison of the **resurrected** Christ to a lion's whelp was made in the second century AD. _Physiologus_, the story is told of the lion whose cubs are born dead and receive life after three days when the father lion comes and roars over them, or vivifies them by his breath. "Just so did the Father Omnipotent raise Our Lord Jesus Christ from the dead on the third day" [_The Book of Beasts_: p.8].
