# Sharing reports with others
Chicago Cityscape created shareable links for Property and Place Reports based on feedback from Data Equity Cohort (2021-2022) members who wanted the option to share our exclusive content with their colleagues and constituents who are not members.
This Knowledge Base article will describe how to share or gift Property Report and Place Reports.
## Using shareable links
Paying members and people using a free trial can share a link to any Property Report and Place Report with anyone they choose. Every link is unique and expires in 7 days from the moment it's generated. This works exactly like gifting an article to someone for them to read because you have a subscription and they don't.
### Sharing Place Reports
Here's how to create a ShareLink of a Place Report and share it with someone:
1. After signing in to your Cityscape account, open any Place Report ([find them all here](http://chicagocityscape.com/maps/index.php)).
2. In the Place Report webpage, look for the text "Share a link". Look for the link under the heading "More info about [this place name]" (see screenshot 1).
3. Copy the link. On computers, right-click the link and click "Copy Link" or "Copy link location", depending on the web browser you're using. On mobile devices, tap and hold the link under the context menu appears and then tap "Copy".
4. Finally, paste the link in a text message or email and sent it to someone.

### Sharing Property Reports
Here's how to create a ShareLink of an Property Report and share it with someone:
1. After signing in to your Cityscape account, open any Property Report ([look up an address or PIN here](http://chicagocityscape.com/address.php)).
2. In the Property Report, choose a PIN if you haven't already looked up a PIN. PIN-based reports have more information and the system won't generate a ShareLink without a PIN. There is a section on this page called "Choose a PIN"; click on the first result that has an "address match" or "map match".
3. After loading the PIN-based Property Report, look for the text "Share a link" under the address (see screenshot 2).
4. Copy the link. On computers, right-click the link and click "Copy Link" or "Copy link location", depending on the web browser you're using. On mobile devices, tap and hold the link under the context menu appears and then tap "Copy".
5. Finally, paste the link in a text message or email and sent it to someone.

## What the recipient has to do
The link recipient will have to sign in to a Cityscape account, which are free to create. Chicago Cityscape will instruct them to sign in if necessary.
Chicago Cityscape may track that the recipient used a ShareLink to access the report, but we do not track who sent them the ShareLink.
