# Features for property tax attorneys
Chicago Cityscape has features that are useful for property tax attorneys and anyone looking for information about appeals and assessed values.
## Appeals
Chicago Cityscape has information about property assessment appeals for properties in Cook County from 2019 to the present.
### Finding properties by appeal status
A filter within Property Finder to show only those properties that have had an appeal (with any result), an appeal that resulted in "no change", or did not have an appeal. The filter will be updated each time there is a new assessment year.
Look for the filter heading "Appeals status", select one of the radio buttons, and then select the "Apply filters" button. After a moment the data table and map will refresh to show the results.
### Showing a single property's appeal status
Chicago Cityscape's Property Report, when based on a given or selected PIN, can show the appeals history going back to 2017.
1. Open a PIN-based property report. (Search for the PIN directly, or choose a PIN on an address-based Property Report.)
2. In the Table of Contents, select "Property & Ownership info".
3. Scroll down until you see the heading, "Property taxes, appeals, and exemptions".
4. Select the "Check for appeals" button. After a moment, a table will appear if there are any appeals for the selected PIN.

## Assessed values
Chicago Cityscape has a filter within Property Finder to show only those properties that have a current assessed value. This can be useful to combine with the appeals status filter to ensure you're finding properties in townships that have a recent assessment.
Look for the filter heading "Assessment status", select one of the radio buttons, and then select the "Apply filters" button. After a moment the data table and map will refresh to show the results.
