# Play: Proposed Projects *This Play is part of the following Playbooks: [Business Development for Brokers](/guide/playbook_brokers_development), [Efficient operations for SSAs & Chambers of Commerce](/guide/playbook_nfp_efficient), and [Keeping tabs on upcoming projects for Unions](/guide/playbook_unions_proposed)* Proposed Projects are developments that require approval from Chicago City Council or Chicago Plan Commission. Knowing what developments are proposed, work that is permitted, and the people behind these projects is crucial. - For brokers: This data helps real estate brokers and advisors connect with projects and the people behind them early in the development process. - For SSAs & Chambers of Commerce: Finding and tracking this activity could be a full time job – Cityscape makes this much more manageable. ### Tutorial to use Proposed Projects 1. Select the "Projects & Leads" menu item at the top of Chicago Cityscape. 2. In that menu, select "Proposed Projects" (or [click here](http://chicagocityscape.com/proposedprojects.php)). You'll see the 10 more recent projects mapped on the left and in a data table on the right. 3. Scroll down to see "Proposed Projects Filters". Use the filters to focus in on the types of projects you'd like to engage with then click "Apply Filters". The map and the data table will refresh. 5. Scroll back up to see the results. Open a Property Report or a Place Report. 2. Scroll to Property Finder and load it. 3. In the Property Finder filters, look in the row for "Chicago-only filters" and find the "Nearby Proposed Projects" filter. 4. Select the desired options. The screenshot below shows the available options. 5. Select the "Apply filters" button. After a moment, Property Finder's data table and map will refresh to show the properties that have a Proposed Project or a near a Proposed Project (depending on your settings).
