# Dan Flood **Dan Flood** was **Turning Point USA's own in-house head of security** — distinct from the contracted detail run by **[[Brian Harpole]]** — and one of the men physically closest to Charlie Kirk when he was shot on September 10, 2025. He came up through **[[Greg Shaffer]]**'s Shaffer Security Group protecting Kirk (photographed on the detail at events such as CPAC 2020), and is **Harpole's close friend.** - Around **2022** he moved **in-house to TPUSA**, becoming its head of security (LinkedIn showed him with TPUSA since **Feb. 2022**, later titled *"Head of Risk Strategy"*). In the same handover, Harpole founded **Integrity Security Solutions**, which took the contracted-protection role.
