This will not be specific to any particular Prime Access so I'd encourage you to catch me live on [Twitch](https:Twitch.tv/Brozime) or ask in the [Discord](https://www.discord.gg/brozime) to be sure this advice fully applies to the current Prime Access. Below you will first find an explanation of how Relics work followed by some general tips and then optimal farming methods for each Relic Era. # Relics ![[RelicExample.jpg | 400]] Above is a reference image for looking at any given Void Relic from the Void Relic station located directly to your left as you come out of your Arsenal menu. This is the reference point for the next section. ## Relic Era - At the top of the above image you can see that this is an Axi A1 Relic the "Era" of a Relic is the first part of the Relic name followed by its designating letter plus number - There are 5 available Eras Lith, Meso, Neo, Axi, and Requiem. - The 5 Eras generally refer to what level content you will receive them from with the exception of Requiem Relics which you can learn more about in the [[Kuva Lich]] or [[Sister of Parvos]] Guides. - The designating letter plus number(in this case A1) is usually made by taking the first letter of the named Rare in the Relic and then adding to the number as needed for new releases. - As you can see with this A1 relic however that is not always the case. ## Relic Rewards and Refinement - Inside this Relic you can see we have six total rewards with three Commons denoted with a bronze underline, two Uncommons denoted by their silver line and one Rare denoted by the gold line. - Below the Rewards you'll notice four buttons allowing us to use our available Void Traces(increases with Mastery Rank) to refine our Relic and showing us our current Refinement. - Void Traces are earned simply by collecting 10 Reactant in Void Fissures you will get 6-30 randomly per round/mission. You do not have to open a Relic to get Traces but it is generally advised to open one you don't care much about once you have a collection. - There are four possible Refinements listed below with drop chances of each rarity reward - Intact(Base) - Common 25.33% Each - Uncommon 11% Each - Rare 2% - Exceptional(25 Traces) - Common 23.33% Each - Uncommon 13% Each - Rare 4% - Flawless(50 Traces) - Common 20% Each - Uncommon 17% Each - Rare 6% - Radiant(100 Traces) - Common 16.67% Each - Uncommon 20% Each - Rare 10% - In general it is advised to use Intacts for Commons, Flawless' for Uncommons, and Radiants for Rares. ## Relic Farming > [!General Tips] > __Farm in a group__ > > Farming for particular relics in a party of 4 means that you will all get the same relics at the same time which leads to my next tip. > > __Open Relics in a group__ > > Opening 4 of the same Relic at the same refinement together will give you much better odds of getting what you're looking for(particularly Rares) much faster. If you open 3 Radiant Relics hoping to get a Rare solo your chance to get the Rare is ~27% meanwhile in a group of 4 your chances become ~73%. > > __Boosters Work on Traces__ > > Bought or earned boosters work on Traces and stack as normal. A 2x Market booster plus a Special Weekend 2x booster will give you 4x this includes the Smeeta Kavat ability Charm multiplier of 2x bringing the total multiplier to 8x and so on. Even without other Boosters a Smeeta can keep a farm going much longer with a little luck. ___ ### __Best Farming Locations for Each Relic Era__ Before farming any of these locations it is best to check the [Official Droptables](https://n8k6e2y6.ssl.hwcdn.net/repos/hnfvc0o3jnfvc873njb03enrf56.html) to make sure the Relic you're looking for drops there. Also (Unaffiliated with Brozime) there is an [Unofficial Droptable](https://dark.warframedrops.com/) that parses the Official droptable in a searchable way. - Lith - Hepit, Void - This is a Capture mission that has a guaranteed drop of either a Lith Relic or Aya - It is advised to use [[Titania]] or a similarly fast Warframe like [[Wukong]] to complete runs of this mission in around 30 seconds allowing you to accrue Lith Relics extremely quickly. - Meso - Ukko, Void - This is a Capture mission that has a guaranteed drop of either a Meso Relic, Neo Relic, or Aya - Same as Lith it is advised to use [[Titania]] or a similarly fast Warframe like [[Wukong]] to complete runs of this mission in around 30 seconds allowing you to accrue Relics extremely quickly. - Neo - Ukko, Void - See above in Meso - Uranus, Ur - This is a Disruption mission. As long as you do not fail a Conduit your rewards will Always be either a Neo Relic or a small chance for a Universal Medallion. - Normally used if you do not also need Meso Relics it is advised to bring a strong Disruption weapon or Warframe such as [[Mesa]] or [[Xaku]]. - Axi - Apollo, Lua - This is a Disruption mission. As long as you do not fail a Conduit your rewards will Always be either an Axi Relic or a small chance for a Universal Medallion or Lua Lens Blueprint though it can be advised in optimal squads to fail 2 conduits on purpose to force B rotation after Round 4 since it contains exclusively Axi Relics. - It is advised to bring a strong Disruption weapon or Warframe such as [[Mesa]] or [[Xaku]]. ## Opening Relics Optimally There are two schools of thought around the best way to open Relics which can be easily broken into two categories. Fast and Efficient. Fast opening will do just that, you will open a Relic and get the rewards as quickly as possible. Efficient opening usually prefers longer missions that have relics in their droptable so that you can replace the relics you're opening with new relics. Below I've listed the best missions for opening Relics but since Fissures/Storms are generated randomly not all of these will be available at any given time. ### Fast Opening - Exterminate - Offers extremely fast clear times to those who can kill quickly due to the very high rate of corruption on enemies. Make sure to wait for a corruption wave before clearing a room! - [[Titania]] is best for this - Capture - Quick objective but try and hunt corrupted squads on your way to extraction to make sure you have enough reactant. - [[Titania]] is best for this - Rescue - Same as Above - Sabotage - Same as above but watch out for Sabotage missions that have a Datamass like on Ceres. [[Titania]] won't be able to pick those up so options like [[Nova]] are much faster. ### Efficient Opening The below are general rules but some specific missions such as every mission in the Void will give you a Relic for completion as well. The missions that are the best farms make the best Relic opening missions after all. - Spy - Relic rewards on most rotations alongside other valuable mods with a mission that is still quite quick. - [[Titania]] is fastest but [[Wukong]] can ignore Vault mechanics while maintaining his speed - Survival - Tons of Relics available in most drop tables - Consistent mission for getting 10 reactant every rotation especially if players group up - Bonus: The Steel Path Fissure variant of this mission offers even greater rewards being the best way to earn Steel Essence in the game. - Many frames are applicable to Survival even on Steel Path but most squads appreciate a [[Nekros]] being added to your usual kill frames with [[Khora]] being an overachiever there. - Interception - Same as survival except [[Nekros]] adds nothing to this mission - Railjack Skirmish - Very fast mission with high Credit, Endo, and Relic rewards often giving more Relics back than you will use. - Running in a group of at least 2 is suggested so you can split up objectives and clear much more quickly - As a Pilot you should bring a fully armed Railjack and a good pilot frame such as [[Hildryn]], [[Styanax]], or [[Protea]] - Railjack Exterminate - Same as above except you'll need a Warframe with fast enemy clear like [[Mesa]] - Railjack Spy - Same as above except you'll want to bring a fast frame like [[Wukong]] ## Pre-Farming Relics This section is an overview of what you can do to essentially farm the next Prime Access before it comes out. What that means is collecting currency that can be turned in for Relics now and simply waiting until the launch of the next prime to turn it all in. This is an effective way of not only being the first to get a new item but also usually a good way to make some Platinum for those looking to do so. ### Steel Essence > [!Nerf Warning] > This method has been nerfed to only allow the redemption of 25 Relic packs per week at the same cost as previous meaning this is still an effective farm but cannot be redeemed all at once incentivising diversity in pre-farming. - By far the best way to pre-farm - 15 Steel Essence can be turned in to Teshin on any normal Relay for a pack of 3 random relics or Aya - Daily Steel Path missions give 25 Steel Essence(5 per mission) from just rewards per day. Given about 3 months between Prime Accesses if you were to do your dailies every day you'd have roughly ~2,250 Steel Essence which would get you __*~450*__ Relics the day the new PA drops. Obviously due to RNG this won't guarantee you the full PA but you can be sure it will be very unlikely you won't assemble it very quickly especially if you do this with a group. - Outside of Dailies you can choose to instead or also hunt Acolytes. This is best done in long form Steel Path Fissures like Survival or Interception as those missions boost resource drops the more relics you open in them. - Acolytes drop 2 Steel essence by default. Normal resource boosters double this. The fissure buff will increase drops up to 2x after 18 Relics have been opened in one run. In total that consistently boosts Acolyte drops to 8 per. Adding a Smeeta to that gives you the occasional 16 drop which is 3 relics by itself. Weekend boosters if you could be so lucky will also apply for a possible consistent 16 per Acolyte. - Even without a Smeeta if you can manage to do 2 hours of Steel Path Fissure Survival with a booster you should have ~154 Steel Essence(30 Relics) which only gets better with a Smeeta or more time spent in the mission. ### Syndicates, Medallions, & Open Worlds - This method is considerably worse than the Steel Path option but also considerably easier - Baseline if you have 2 Syndicates completed you can store up to 132k Rep Per Syndicate so if you cap two Syndicates through normal gameplay shortly before the launch of the new PA you'll get a 36 Relic jumpstart towards the new PA. This method easily combines with the Steel Essence Farm. - Open World Rep caps work similarly. You can cap up to 132k on your choice of [[Cetus]], [[Fortuna]], or [[Deimos]] and turn in your Rep at the resident Miners but I'd generally recommend skipping [[Fortuna]] as it takes by far the longest. - In addition you can choose to do Syndicate Dailies. Most Syndicate dailies will have 8 medallions to collect which can be turned in for standing with no cap. With some slight variance the 8 medallions will total 10k-12.5k per mission meaning every mission is worth about 1.5 relics but you have to spend the time hunting every medallion down.
