# Focus **SPOILER WARNING** This is a spoiler heavy system if you have not gotten into the later half of the Starchart you do not need this guide yet ___ ### What do I choose? Second Dream Zenurik. Zenurik will help most players fix their energy economy and will be the most useful thing you can do with the Focus system early. ### What is Focus? Focus is the first and main progression system for your Operator alongside [[Amps]] and Arcanes. It offers powerful Energy Economy, Armor Stripping, and Damage Boosts for your Warframes as well as general buffs for making your Operator more durable and useful in combat. ## Focus Leveling The amount of Focus you can gain per day(Except Focus gained through [[Eidolons]]) is limited based on your current Mastery Rank. This limit is fairly generous with 250,000 starting per day and an additional 5,000 per Mastery Rank. You can gain Focus through a variety of activities, passive focus gain through a Focus Lens is good for players that don't wish to actively farm for it and will be required to initially unlock any of the schools you did not choose at the end of the Second Dream quest. ### Focus Lens ![[Lens.png]] Lenses are used to passively gain Focus by installing them into a Warframe or Weapon at Max Rank. They convert a % of the Affinity gained into Focus based on the quality of the Lens which you can see left to right on the image above. While Eidolon & Lua Lenses are superior they are a hassle to craft and grind so it's advised to simply use Regular and Greater Lenses for initially unlocking Schools and passively farming Focus and to use other methods for deliberate farming. - Where to find Focus Lenses? - Regular - Cetus Bounties - Deimos Bounties - Fortuna Bounties - These are tradeable so asking an experienced player for one will likely go well - Zariman Base Endless Mission Rotation C Rewards(Not advised) - Greater - Zariman Bounty Drops - Also available from crafting but don't - Eidolon - Blueprint from Level 40-60 Cetus bounties - Lua - Blueprint from Rotation C reward from Apollo (Lua) - What should I install my Lens in? - The biggest reason to install a lens is that you need at least one lens installed somewhere in your loadout to spawn the Gold buffs that appear every couple minutes per mission that award 5000 focus just on pickup. - In addition and without making this more complex than it needs to be there are 3 rules 1. If you are using a DPS Warframe install the Lenses in them otherwise install in Weapons 2. If your squad is killing everything put the Lenses in your Weapons 3. All dedicated farms want a Lens in every item ## Focus Leveling Priority The below video explains the choices on the Priority Listing more in-depth if you'd like. Also, the checkboxes are interactable but won't save upon leaving this page but you can use them to help keep track of what you've completed so far. After that what you want is up to you. Below is a list of some of the other nodes that have notable uses. - Zenurik Temporal Drag + Temporal Shot - Very useful slow that works on many targets Warframe slows do not work on such as Thumpers - Naramon Power Spike - Used for Khora and other melee focused frames to maintain combo ## Focus Farming Below is my recommendation for farming Focus but note that it is only available after The New War quest so if you wish to grind focus beforehand getting into [[Eidolons]] is the best method.
