# Amps Explained ### General Amp Information - Amps are the primary weapon of the Operator/Drifter - They are needed for some Operator/Drifter specific content - Acquire your first Amp from Onkko in Cetus after [[The War Within]] - The first amp is a prebuilt Amp called the Mote Amp which you should probably upgrade out of right away because it isn't great - Amps have number designations to make them easier to discuss - Amps are organized in ascending order relative to the faction tier needed to purchase them as well as when they were released - Amps designated 1, 2, 3, or 4 come from The Quills in Cetus - Amps designated 5, 6, or 7 come from Vox Solaris in Fortuna - Amp full designations are formatted as XXX or PSB - PSB is short for Prism, Scaffold, Brace - Primary Fire, Secondary Fire, Bonus Attribute - XXX is common as a format where certain parts do not matter such as a 7X7 where the Scaffold is irrelevant - As an example a 427 would be a Rahn Prism, Shraksun Scaffold, and Certus Brace - Please see the below chart for more information ## Amp Grid ![[AmpChart_Transparent.png]] *credit to [NimkeArts](https://twitter.com/NimkeArts) for this new fancy grid!* ## Current Amp Meta ### Eidolons Amp - 177 is the best amp for fastest completion - 7X7 I find to be the most comfortable ### Angels Amp - 7X7 is generically the best and easiest to use Amp ### Cascade - 4X7 is the best balance of comfort and damage output - 747 is best for killing Thrax without headshots while the secondary fire is used for closing portals ### Unairu Last Gasp Revival - 747 is easiest to dump into enemies for quick revivals ### Budget Amps Advice 1.
