# The Summer Paradox Theory - F2N1 is from 1983 | [[BlackfootFerret's FNAF Obsidian Vault\| Home]] | [[Games]] | [[Novels]] | [[Movies]] | [[Other]] | [[Theories]] | [[Videos]] | [[BlackfootFerret \| Ferret]] | [[Obsidian]] | | -- | -- | -- | -- | -- | -- | -- | -- | -- | # Overview The theory the [[FNAF 2 Night 1 Call|first FNAF 2 call]] was pre-recorded in Summer 1983. This explains the [[FNAF 3 Night 4 Call]] talking about the [[Multiple Springlock Failure Incident]] at the sister location to Phone Guy's New Freddy's: In Summer 1983 that was Fredbear's. ## The first FNAF 2 call doesn't fit November 1987. It's doesn't make sense for Phone Guy to congratulate Jeremy on a summer job when it's November. [![[FNAF 2 Night 5 check.png|200]]](<FNAF 2 Night 5 check.png>)[![[FNAF 2 Night 6 Overtime check and ending Newspaper.png|200]]](<FNAF 2 Night 6 Overtime check and ending Newspaper.png>) ## Tape says The New Freddy's is new, but it isn't Phone Guy says this job is new, and we're only the second guard to work here after [[William Afton|William]] transferred to day shift. He also says due to the "quirky modern" design of the building there are no doors to close, suggesting when this tape was recorded, the building was new. But FNAF 2 says it's "the grand re-opening of a vintage pizzeria" [![[FNAF 2 Grand Reopening Newspaper.png|220]]](FNAF%202%20Grand%20Reopening%20Newspaper%201.png 2 Grand Reopening Newspaper.png>)>) ## Kid's Cove was already in place on Week 1 of 1987 The FNAF 2 building originally had a standard Pirate's Cove. Phone Guy says this got refitted into Kid's Cove. But Save Them happened on William's guard week before Jeremy's, yet Kid's Cove and Mangle are already in place. [![[Save Them Body Zoom.png|300]]](<Save Them Body Zoom.png>) This must have been Pirate's Cove during an earlier opening. ## The MCI happened here when it was Pirate's Cove The FNAF 2 building has a [[FNAF 2 Secret Room Location|secret room]] directly East of Kid's Cove. The [[Foxy Go Go]] minigame shows the MCI happened in a room east of Pirate's Cove. The FNAF 1 building doesn't work because it's [[FNAF 1 Camera 1C Pirate's Cove|FNAF 1 Pirate's Cove]] is on the west side of the central dining hall, not a secret room. [[Follow Me]] shows us FNAF 1's secret room is far away from Pirate's Cove. So the MCI must have happened here, at the FNAF 2 building, during an earlier opening, an opening of the same building that was still overseen by Phone Guy. ## Phone Guy recorded the FNAF 2 calls for Jeremy personally. Phone Guy's FNAF 3 calls end with "Remember to smile, you are the face of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza." But he never says this to Jeremy, even though Jeremy actually wears Freddy's face! The FNAF 3 calls are for several staff members, but the FNAF 2 calls are focused on Jeremy. This means Jeremy was also present during the first opening of the FNAF 2 building. The events of both shifts mirrored each other: Each time a massacre happened during William's first week, prompting him to transfer to day shift while "Jeremy" took his place. In 1987, this was the 6-kid Save Them/DCI. But in Summer 1983, it was the 5-kid MCI. ## Fazbear Entertainment made a Freddy's in 1983 The Help Wanted and Security Breach coins confirm the first Freddy's *Henry's company owned and operated* was in 1983. [![[FazToken-front.png|150]]](<FazToken-front.png>)[![[Faz Token Coin Ruin 1983.webp|150]]](Faz%20Token%20Coin%20Ruin%201983%201.webp Token Coin Ruin 1983.webp>)>) Yet this was still Phone Guy and Fazbear Entertainment's "New and Improved Freddy's", suggesting another location ([[Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place]]) existed before it. ## There's no 1987-exclusive lore in the Night 1 call In 1983, Freddy and his friends were stage-worthy. Bonnie still had his face: ![[MCI Bonnie Head Trans.png]]![[MCI Chica Head Trans.png]]![[MCI Foxy Head Trans.png]]![[MCI Freddy Head Trans.png]] The stuffed robots appeared normal on stage except for the [blood and mucus](<Sanitation Poster.jpg>) seeping from them. Foxy was still Foxy, not Mangle. The Withered Animatronics and the Toys only appear as such in 1987, after the MCI robots were cannibalized for parts and degraded after the passage of several years. **So if a phone call mentions the Withereds or Toys, it must be from 1987**. Nights 2-6 happen in 1987, and talk about events in real time, such as Jeremy being dismissed from the night shift after Night 6 and transferring to day shift. But the Night 1 tape only mentions "The Animatronics" and the Puppet, who's been around since [[Take Cake to the Children]] happened at [[Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place]] in 1972. ## Phone Guy had one sister location in 1983: Fredbear's -- closed long before 1987 Refer to [[The Five Openings of Fredbear's#The Original Fredbear's - 1982/3|The Five Openings of Fredbear's.]] for the timeline. Fredbear's had one sister location -- Phone Guy's New Freddy's -- in 1983. It's [[The Five Openings of Fredbear's#William was Springtrapped in a modified FNAF 1|third opening as a re-designed FNAF 1]] -- when William got Springtrapped -- [[FNAF 3 Night 6 Call|had several]]. But there's no indication any other locations were open in 1987 during FNAF 2. ## June 26 featured a Replacement Suit -- Springlock Failure Incident was before it The [Purple Guy Easter Egg](<Purple Guy Easter Egg 1.png>) from FNAF 4 matches the [FNAF 1 2-child poster](<2 child poster.jpg>) -- An easily-identifiable William caught on camera without a suit and [[Bare-Front Spring Bonnie]]. This undecorated, incomplete spare suit is the same one Phone Guy [[FNAF 3 Night 5 Call |noticed had been visibly moved]]. It's also the spare suit he learned was [[FNAF 2 Night 6 Call | used during Save Them]]. [[June 26th]] happened before the MCI, because it's the origin of the Shadows, who went on to play key roles in the MCI and Save Them. [[The MCI]] was in 1983, so [[June 26]] *and* the [[Multiple Springlock Failure Incident]] must be before that, not later. So the Springlock Failure incident that prompted the adoption of the Spare Replacements suits -- like the one William used on June 26th -- must be in 1983, as well as the [[FNAF 3 Night 4 Call]] that talked about it. # Conclusion The [[FNAF 2 Night 1 Call]] must have been recorded during Summer 1983. # Text of [[FNAF 2 Night 1 Call]]
