I'm already really impressed with the opening scene. It's fine they explained the backstory of the world. Is Aang doing something none of the other airbenders can do? Aww Monk Gyatso is so cute. ALL OF THEM! Gyatso is right. This is a bad deal that's been put on Aang. The way Gyatso is describing the Avatar Cycle is making me tear up. It really is a beautiful story. Damn idk why but I"m actually cring. Damn... Appa is cute as fuck. I also understand what it's like to not want a responsibility foisted on you by the world. It is scary. I understand Aang. I thought it looked really cool, all the graphics I don't have a problem with. The effects look pretty realistic, ngl. Like, Yes, that's exactly what airbending WOULD look like if someone was doing it for real. But also, idk it kind of puts in perspective the would that they had to grapple with in the original cartoon. It was really goofy so it's easy to miss that note or not think about the reality that the fire nation literally rolled up on an entire race and burned them alive. One by one. It was incredibly graphic. And that's exactly what's happening in Gaza RIGHT NOW. # Episode 2 Okay, I've been eating. Ohh, jk the guy before was NOT Zhao, just a dude with intense sideburns. Real Zhao's sideburns are much less intense. LOLOL THE AIRBENDING BALL REFERENCE! That was cute. Lol damn Suki tryna FUUUCK, but also dominate him lolololl. And diiiiid. Is this where Iroh gets captured? Zuko's on his own now. Does he become the blue spirit? # Episode 4 Aang and Iroh are in prison. Young Bumi! Earth Kingdom look like Indians. South asians. Iroh and Aang are having a conversation. Sokka and Katara are trying to break him out with the engineer and cripple boy. Aang has been brought before King Bumi. Lol Bumi is hilarious. But this meeting is VERY diferent than the show. I feel like Katara's growth has been shortcut. And her bending acting is... not good. I see that now. Lol Zuko you don't look like an earthbender at all. You're literally a different race. Bumi really does sound like Bumi lololol. But this is VEERY different than the cartoon. OMG! THE DANCING PEOPLE FROM THE SECRET TUNNEL! Aww, the story of omashu! I'm glad they kept the secret tunnels lololl. That was an entire episode in the cartoon, and 15 minutes in the show for the whole saga. Definitely rushing things. Oh, the growing crystals look really cool. Wow, they discovered the light rocks in like two seconds. And they let Sokka solve it!! Yeah Katara is definitely the worst actor of the main cast. Still cute tho. Iroh lost his son, and that's when he went soft. "Honor" is how they justify their dumb ass war. Aww, young Zuko was so sweet. Sai is Abed, the engineer. Are they about to meet an earthbending badger? Cartoon Bumi was way buffer lololol. BADGERMOLE!! Why are they making them evil? So Bumi gave Aang the Appa Whistle 100 years ago. Lol I like that the cabbages guy is the ACTUAL Cabbages guy!! So sick. # Episode 5 Okay looks like they're going to the forest spirit. I forgot about this! Glad they're dedicating time to these stories. Okay I'm actually REALLY enjoying this. I think this show is really good, independent of the cartoon. It's definitely a different story but I think that it stays true to the intent of the story. I've been kind of upset while watching this, but I've been weeping in a happy way, in like I just feel like visually this is SO WELL DONE! Firelord Ozai looks SO BADASS! In this episode when he was talking to Azula. I thought that exchange was perfect. That never happened in the cartoon, but it painted exactly who these characters were and how they would interact, that's still true to the world of Avatar. I think this is well done. They even showed the bounty huntress with tho wourd NUMl, So, in this spirit episode. OMG THE LIBRARY OWL!! What the fuck is he doing here?? Damn Azula was about to MURDER THAT NIGGA! And she blamed him! Damn, that monster was creepy as fuck. Hei Bai!! That's what it's name was. Why are they making us watch the worst day of Katara's life lololol. That mask nigga was creepy. Sokka's dad is a white man? Hakoda. Sokka just wanted his dad to be proud of him. THe face stealing mosnter is really gross looking. Gyatso knows he's never gonna see aang again. I'm SO GLAD he acknowledged that it wasn't Aang's fault. "he vanished when the world needed him most" is SUCH bullshit. There's literally nothing he could have done. # Episode 6 Oh shit! A Zuko flashback. LOL Zhao is such a shithead, he's perfect. Aang has made his way to Roku's shrine in the fire nation. I think this is the first time we see the blue spirit in the cartoon. LOL Roku is hilarious. OMG HES THE ASIAN NIGGA FROM DEXTER!! LOLOLOLO. The explanation for the face stealing monster's mom was kinda weird. Lol damn that mole moster thing with the tongue is OP. YO WHY DOEs THE BOUNTY HUNTER WANT TO SMASH IROH!! LOL Young Zuko with the interruptions. Oh wait.. Ozai asked for Zukos opinion. Okay,,... that went differently than the show, but I think it makes sense. Damn Zhao played Zuko... OH SHIt! now the blue spirit will come and release Aang. OKAY BLUE SPIRIT LETS GOOO. I hope they play his music. God damn, Ozai fucking HATES Zuko's guts. Zuko gains the respect of his division, the one HE saved, and never told them. # Episode 7 Yue is NOT cute. She looks latina? Kuruk is also a white man. The water type casting, ethnically, is all over the place. Ohh, Yue actually was the fox? The moon spirit is a fox? SOKKA IS THE BOY OF YUE'S DREAMS? All the past Avatars are giving Aang some weird advice. Paku looks like a white man too. That fight with him and Katara was cool. I still think Katara should be dark skinned. The whole water tribe really. # Episode 8 - Legends I think this is the last episode. The fire nation is attacking the northern stronghold. I guess they're not gonna get into the backstory behind Paku and Gran Gran DAMN MOMO GOT CRUSHED BY A ROCK.. Then Yue healed him. And sokka .
