Here's a list of the rules Rule 1 - Stand up straight with your shoulders back Rule 2 - Treat yourself like someone you're responsible for helping Rule 3 - Make friends with people who want the best for you Rule 4 - Compare yourself to who you were yesterday, not to who someone else is today Rule 5 - Do not let your children do anything that makes you dislike them Rule 6 - Set your house in perfect order before you criticize the world Rule 7 - Pursue what is meaningful (not what is expedient) >Christianity put forward, explicitly, the even more incomprehensible idea that the act of human ownership degraded the slaver (previously viewed as admirable nobility) as much or even more than the slave. This man is over here making apologies for Christian [[Slavery]]. "At least they didn't feed slaves to lions." Rule 8 - Don't Lie >If you will not reveal yourself to others, you cannot reveal yourself to yourself. I think this means that you need to be more visible. Or like, say your thoughts more. You can't just process thoughts internally, you need the outside feedback in order to hone or sharpen your truth both to yourself and to the world. Rule 9 - Assume the person you are listening to might know something you don't Rule 10 - Be precise in your speech Rule 11 - Don't bother children when they are skateboarding Rule 12 - Pet a cat when you encounter one on the street I don't agree with all of these rules. It's an interesting thought but at least Rule 5, 11, and 12 are irrelevant to me. I'm not petting any cats or having kids.
