I plotted the three proposed routes in Burnet County from the bell switch starting point in Temple to their intersection with hwy 281 north of Burnet, and measured their lengths. I plotted the 2 existing EHV Transmission lines that the Public Utility Commission and the law requires them to utilize and measured their Length. I plotted the straight line route that Ercot and the PUCT Approved in May (Purple) > > > Green line is existing Extra High Voltage Transmission line North that routes North of Lampasas (+-64 Miles). > > Yellow line is Existing High Voltage Transmission line South that routes just North of Bertram (+-87 Miles) > > Orange line is proposed line G4 (+-86 Miles) > > Red line is proposed line G6 (+-82 Miles) > > Blue line is proposed line G5 (+- 79 Miles) > > > > The Green Existing Extra High Voltage Transmission Line routing follows Ercot’s straight line routing. And ==this route is over 20 Miles shorter==! > > > > It is my opinion that there shouldn’t have been any lines in this area of Burnet County. ### MAP ---> Here is a **[link to the BIG MAP](https://bighill765.s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/Res0001_image001.png)**. <--- Preview: ![[Res0001_image001_small.png]] June 24 5:27 PM ---- [[765kV Transmission Line to Cross Burnet County Precinct 2|Home]]
