If successful, CORC's model may serve as a template for wider ecosystem governance. --- # Authority ## Scope of Authority The [[Classic Origins Resurrection Committee]] is authorized to: - Make design and balance decisions for [[Axie Classic]] and [[Axie Origins]], including card mechanics, class passives, part interactions, artifact status, and meta-shaping changes - Define and oversee the release strategy and communications cadence for [[Axie Classic]] and [[Axie Origins]] content - Determine the scope and sequencing of engineering work related to [[Axie Classic]] and [[Axie Origins]] - Engage and manage engineering resources — whether routed through [[Sky Mavis]], contracted from external studios, or assembled from community talent — subject to financial authority below - Set community-facing engagement norms, including which decisions are put to a community vote and how options are framed when they are - Manage its own internal communication infrastructure and membership processes ## Financial Authority All expenditure must flow through the Cayman Islands not-for-profit foundation that holds the community treasury. The Committee does not have independent disbursement authority. [[Sky Mavis]] operational staff ([[Shade]], [[Jiho]]) hold access where required for coordination. Role-gated access may be extended to invited advisors or expert players for specific channels only. The Committee's release strategy follows an understated-leak-then-surprise-drop model: quality-of-life improvements are shipped quietly, while major content releases (new parts, new card sets) are developed privately and revealed as finished drops. The Committee does not pre-announce roadmap items that have not been delivered. **ALL COMMUNICATIONS RELATING TO A RELEASE WILL BE MADE PUBLIC NO LONGER THAN ONE WEEK AFTER SAID RELEASE HAPPENS.** --- # Reporting and Accountability The [[Classic Origins Resurrection Committee]] currently reports to the [[Secretariat]] and the [[Town Builders]]. Once formal governance is live, reporting responsibility transitions to the [[Growth and Economic Council]]. The Committee also reports to the Cayman Islands foundation's directors for all financial matters, and operates with full design autonomy within the mandate granted by [[Sky Mavis]].
