# Track lanes in Reaper From Options > New recording that overlaps existing media items, you can select Add lanes. Click the circular button to select a lane. Right-click, scroll down to Comping and choose Comp into new empty lane. Around the button, the space is a golden brown to let us know we're in swipe comp mode. Double-click the button to toggle comp mode on and off.
